At Dukes Plain we operate a Certified Organic cattle property utilising holistic grazing management principles and using Biodynamic practices. Situated between the Isla Gorge and Precipice Creek National Parks 40kms south west of Theodore (300kms SW of Rockhampton) in Central Queensland, Dukes Plain spans 7900 Hectares of which 4600 hectares is a dedicated Nature Refuge where you can enjoy bushwal
king with panoramic vistas whilst exploring the many aboriginal art sites, caves, sandstone cliffs and the abundant flora and fauna. Here at Dukes Plain we welcome international volunteers through the WWOOF (willing workers on organic farms) program. Since 2004 we have hosted over 50 guests from China, Japan, South Korea, Germany, France, Italy, England, Ireland, Mexico, America, Canada, Sweden, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Norway, New Zealand and Australia. We are happy to teach our wwoofers carpentry, metal work, butchery, bakery, cattle mustering, cattle handling, milking, biodynamics, gardening, farm and machinery maintenance, kayaking, fishing, bushlore, camping and cooking.
