Magenup adult riders is a fun and encouraging equestrian club catering to all level of riders and horses.
We run clinics once a month on a Sunday with flat work, show jumping, cross country and inhand lessons.
On the 21st and 22nd of September Magenup will be hosting the ARCA Spring Dressage Challenge. Parking will be tight over the weekend and any equestrians wanting to access the Lake Magenup trails will not be able to do so via the equestrian centre grounds. Key holders will be unable to access either of the arenas from Thursday 19/09 until Monday 23/09 due to grading and setting up.

This month we have Sandra Schmalzing and Gabrielle Pither joining us, and the lovely Jenna returning.
Get to know our coaches for this month through their bios below!
⚜️ Sandra Schmalzing ⚜️
Sandra is German-trained and licensed Bereiter (qualified from the German riding school in Warendorf), with over 30 years experience teaching riders of all abilities, from beginners up to Grand Prix. Her primary focus is to develop and train riders to work in harmony with their horse, based on classical dressage principles, to develop the rider’s seat and to teach to use fine, soft aids.
⚜️ Jenna Henley ⚜️
Jenna has traveled to Europe several times to ride and train alongside prestigious riders and trainers such as Anky Van Grunsven, Johan and Penny Rockx, Petri Bax, Joyce Lenaerts and Marcel Sterrenburg. Jenna can cater for all levels of flatwork and ages/riding levels. She is also available for training and schooling. Her teaching style is very organic-looking to clarify communications between horse and rider through softness and rider awareness.
⚜️ Gabrielle Pither ⚜️
Gabby has ridden up to 4* level eventing and represented Australia on young rider teams. She was the 2014 3* winner at Melbourne International 3 day event and came 2nd at Sydney International 3 day. Gabby has produced her own horses and has years of experience breaking in as well as re-educating off the track thoroughbreds. Gabby is a Level 1 General Coach, coaching all levels of riders, in all disciplines.

Incredibly proud of our team of members that represented Magenup Adult Riding Group at the first ARCA Autumn Challenge 2024. A massive congratulations to Wallangarra Adult Riders Club, you were amazing, supportive and ran it like a well oiled machine!

It’s almost the end of January - and that means our first clinic for 2024 is just around the corner! 🎉
We had such a wonderful time catching up with old and new members at our recent join up day. A huge thank you to those who came along for a chat, tour, and a shop.
Our February clinic will be opening in just a few days (on Thursday 1st Feb to be exact) via Global Entries Online - the platform we use to accept entries into clinics. MARG clinics generally run on the final Sunday of every month. The only exception in 2024 will be the March clinic, which has been brought forward a week to allow for the Easter long weekend 🐣
