This little fella was so excited to “hang out” with our vet tech Phil the other morning! After everyone had said hello, he was left in peace to do some much needed napping 🐨

Meet the team Monday!
We are proud to (re)introduce Dr. Bec, a highly experienced veterinarian with a passion for flexible and preventative care. With 20 years of experience and 17 years at our clinic, Dr Bec is excited to bring a thorough and flexible veterinary care to the vibrant community of Koroit.

She has a unique and evolving set of passions with qualifications in Dairy Medicine and (Human) Wellbeing and is currently increasing her knowledge of palliative care. Preferring to prevent than treat disease, she aims to give your pets their best life.

Outside of work she loves to get involved in her community. She caught the travel bug after a family adventure around Australia last year, so she is off this week to warmer climes and will see everyone again Mid-July!

What a lucky lass!

This gorgeous girl took a bit of a tumble, and ended up injuring her leg. Her breeder quickly brought her down for a check over. After an ultrasound scan to make sure she didn’t have any internal bleeding and some X-rays were performed to check all of her bones, she was able to be fitted for a splint and given some really good pain relief to help her while her fractured leg healed. She is now right as rain and running around getting up to lots of mischief!

Wilma is a 2 week old lamb who has lovingly been taken on by one of our nurses!

Maggie is a Port Fairy local, sharing her time on reception between the two clinics. She loves greeting our canine patients, young and old alike, and can often be found sneaking in a few cuddles, like with Wally here! Maggie has a number of dogs at home and loves spoiling them all equally (or that’s what she tells each of them!)

Meet Marea - the new kid on the block! Just kidding, a local from Panmure before moving to and raising her family in Warrnambool, Marea’s been here more years than she’d like to admit. She works between our Port Fairy and Warrnambool clinics, so most of our clients will recognise her. In her spare time, Marea loves paddle boarding, pilates and dips in the ocean. 🌊

Phil is one of our talented vet techs - a familiar face to all our farm clients! Phils’ responsibilities are wide and varied, but as most of our farmers know, is really our “farm relations” expert, regularly checking in on how our farmers are going. He’s also our unofficial handyman - and can often be found helping everyone out with tasks, questions or just putting a smile on our dial. Thank you Phil! 🫶🏻

Say hello to Garrick 👋🏻 Garrick’s one of the newest additions to our team, but he’s actually been here for over 12months! An experienced paramedic, he made the switch from human to animal health when he moved from NSW. He brings this wealth of knowledge and experience into his nursing career. Garrick has a special spot for our feline friends, but finds the biggest rewards from his new career when helping owners through their heartbreak and grief. When not at work, he can often be found attending to his garden (and luckily brings in his extra veggies for the rest of us!)🪴🫛

Handsome Angus visited us today to have his teeth cleaned and assessed by Dr Katie. Dental disease is an extremely common issue in our pets, especially in our older gentlemen like Angus. The only way a comprehensive assessment and clean can be performed is under a general anaesthetic. By scaling and polishing his teeth, we remove nasty bacteria and plaque that are accumulating at the gumline and prevent gum recession, “doggy cavities” and a whole lot of other issues.

Now Angus’ pearly whites can shine as much as his personality does! 🦷

🐾 Friends of Fur Life 🐾 Meet Henny the 7 year old domestic medium hair cat! Henny is a beautiful cat with her calico colours and very soft coat! While in the clinic she enjoyed lots of treats and a cuddle from a few members of the staff! 💕
