IMPORTANT MESSAGE:
Folks please do me a favour and take your shoes off when you go outside. If you can’t walk barefoot on the footpath or beach please don’t make your dog. I have seen soo many people out walking their dogs today and I hope their paws don’t look like this poor dog. Our companions will go anywhere and put up with anything to be with us so please be mindful of surface temperatures 😊 this also includes the backs of Ute trays 😊 thanks folks and stay cool over the rest of the long weekend 😊

If you're heading out and about with your dog over the holiday season, this map is a handy resource. We know most dog owners want to do the right thing, and we hope this map helps!

The following rules apply for the seasonal areas (purple):
• Main beach area (Flume to Breakwater), dogs are not permitted from December 1 to March 31.
• Blue Hole Reserve (Hopkins River Bridge to Mouth, east side), on-leash only from December 1 to March 31.
• Hopkins River and beach frontage (Ski Club), dogs are not permitted between November 1 and April 30.
• Surfside & Shipwreck Bay holiday parks, dogs are not permitted between December 23 and February 2.

A few other notes:

• Be on the lookout for signs indicating the location of Hooded Plovers nesting on beaches. Dogs need to be kept well clear.

• We've had recent reports of dogs in Stingray Bay, Pickering Point and the South Warrnambool Wetlands. These are important ecological areas and dogs are banned for a reason. There are a lot of migratory birds such as the Latham's Snipe that visit the area to feed, local wildlife such as black swans use the area to breed and Stingray Bay is a Marine Sanctuary.

And for some evening fun. A pic of my 2 pet lambs Lunar & EvanAl showing the Heiniger clippers used to shear them and Spud my 1.5yo sheep. I’m no pro at shearing but the Heiniger gear is exceptional. I love their clippers and blades for the dog grooming(and my sheep haha). They also have a great range of products.
