We went up to the local big tree for some nature and mushroom hunt.
It was hot, muggy and we've had quite a bit of rain. Perfect conditions for mushroom growth.😜
We new we'd see some, but they were literally everywhere. At first we didn't see many, but as our eyes accustomed, we saw them all.
Do you know the names of any of the ones we saw in the 2nd image?

Hint: one is called wood ear because of the shape. Can u guess which one it is? Research suggests it has a medicinal benefits and promotes gut health. It is also high in fiber and antioxidants. Wood ear has long been used in traditional Chinese medicine.

Can u believe we found one so close to home! Mushrooms are everywhere!!

For those who have bought Oyster grow kit a good way to keep them growing after 3 flushes is to break them in the garden bed and cover with cardboard or sugarcane mulch or wood chips. The Oysters love to grow on many substrates. Also will improve the soil content and make other plants to grow healthy.

Short time lapse on how I inoculate the substrate blocks. After this step they go for a 14 days period of incubation on a dark place with good air flow. In 14 days they are ready to fruit in the fruiting chamber.
