I offer evidence-based, trauma-informed care to support your journey. As a facilitator of Equine Facilitated Learning (EFL) I am extremely passionate about delivering fun safe and valuable self discovery and personal growth sessions to people within the local community. I have a great desire to assist people on their pathway to their authentic self, and with the help of my small herd, guide them o

n a path to learn who it is they are at their core. As part of this process I assist in planning how to best use strengths and weaknesses in everyday life. I find fulfillment in mentoring youth to be the best them they can be, and providing choices to allow awakening, and living consciously. I have completed professional studies in areas including children with social and emotional behaviour disorders, Human Resource Organisational theory and change, Consultation and communication theory, and behaviour management. I have worked with children, youth and family members who have numerous diagnoses such as PTSD, Anxiety, ASD, depression, and intellectual impairment, including those with emotional & challenging behaviours. I work with anyone who is seeking help in finding direction, navigating change and improving self-appreciation and image. I am a reiki practitioner and can assist in eliminating energy blockages and open pathways for emotional clearing and healing .

๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’š Today is World Mental Health Day ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒ

At Konect Counselling & Equine Therapy, we believe that mental health is just as important as physical health. Today, letโ€™s take a moment to recognize the significance of mental well-being and the positive impact it can have on our lives, our relationships, and our communities.

Whether youโ€™re facing challenges or just need someone to talk to, remember: you are not alone. Reach out, connect, and know that support is available. Together, we can break the stigma and empower each other to prioritize our mental health.

Unfortunately, unhealthy work conditions like stigma, discrimination, and harassment can significantly impact mental health, affecting our quality of life and productivity. Thatโ€™s why action is urgently needed, not only from governments and employers but from all of us, to build work environments that are supportive and understanding of mental health challenges.

Here are a few small steps you can take today:

Morning Mantra: "Speak to be heard, not to hurt."

Anxiety, pain, and fear have a way of expressing themselves, even when you are unaware that is who is doing the talking.
We lash out, we scream, we withdraw.

Settle your spirit before you speak. Come from a frame of mind that allows you to express your truth so you will be heard. Come from a frame of mind that respects the listener so you don't hurt.

It's okay to have feelings and to try to communicate them. It's never okay to be cruel and hurtful. Becoming aware of your feelings is the first step in developing positive, satisfying communication.
