Liv Comben (VIC) was so pleased to get it all together in the Show Horse Primary section at the Australian Interschool Championships after some recent ups and downs with her pony Snaps. Liv was awarded a 1st in the ridden, 3rd in the rider which put them 4th overall and the Victoria Primary Show Horse team finished up reserve. It certainly hasn’t been an easy journey for Liv with Snaps but her guts and determination are a real credit to her. Congratulations Liv keep up the great work.
Amber Cavanagh (VIC) competed at the HRCAV Top Teams Trophy (TTT) Over the weekend and she smashed it winning two 1sts and a 6th for Reserve level one on Aces Tulara Devine. And team Mansfield/BDSJC winning club of the TTT. She also took out a first, a second and a 7th for 3rd runner up in level 3B on Xtra Special of Sefton. Super results Amber keep up the great work!!!
Linda Smink (TAS) and Clearview Vija had their first official outing at a dressage training day. Linda said she handled it really well for a young horse and can’t wait for their competition season to start!! Great Work.
Tylah Webley (QLD) and Pepper went to SREC Show jumping Competition, the first in a long time as Pepper has had a long recovery from some soundness problems which are now sorted and she managed to get a 5th in the 80 and win the 90cm! Tylah says she’s super proud of her and can’t wait to be back up jumping the heights. Great work!!
Ann-Maree Futter, Jack & Cityscape NZ also went to HRCAV TTT Show Jumping at Tatura. As it was a last minute decision, they weren't expecting a blue ribbon and were thrilled to place 7th in ORS, 5th in 2Phase & 7th in AM7. Overall, their Team placed 2nd out of 56 Teams! Congratulations!
Simone Westwood (VIC) and Gordon received 3rd at level 2 dressage, a super effort for a baby, earning scores of 62.58% for 2nd. Simone said that Gordon tried his heart out, the highlight being his extended canter. He was running out of puff after that for his level 3 test but got 66.34% for 4th. Soo much improvement from his last dressage outing a couple of weeks ago so much more balanced. Excellent! Keep up the great work.
Danni Hampton (SA) and Ollie outdid themselves jumping their biggest round to date in the Open 120 jump off at Murray Bridge Show on the way to 3rd place!! Ollie had a super round in the 110 speed for 4th in a big field and then followed it up with the clear in the 120. Danni was a bit worried about the jump off as she knew the jumps would be up to 130 and he’s going so well that she didn’t want to scare him but thought she may as well give it a go, and he went clear!!! Super work keep it up!
Isabella Confrancesco (NSW) attended the Canowindra Show. It was quite an interesting, long day for Oddy's first "big" show with rides by the ring, lots of noise and cheering and harness ponies and he handled it very well. They made their first appearance in the ASH ring up against some lovely geldings. In the open rings he took out 1st in his Led Show Hunter, 2nd Newcomer Show Hunter Hack, 2nd Novice Show Hunter Hack and Isabelle was awarded 3rd Lady Rider 17-21.
Great work Isabella.
Hayley Jones (NSW) had a very successful day at Singleton Show with the beautiful “Ariella Park Honour.” She said, “Thanks to the Farmalogic Rejuvenate that was fed prior to the event we couldn’t believe how smoothly the day ran and how well behaved haz was!” Great work.
Heather Paix (VIC) had a fun day at JPDC! It was the first time for (Heather Paix) riding Torvina De Meyer at a comp, and he was just sensational. He scored 65% in the Novice B and
=5th place, with the winner on 68.9%. Then, even better, 2nd place in Novice C with 65.6%,
Winner on 68%. Patchwork Stolen Moments on the other hand, for the first time in his dull, quiet life, decided he would be an explosive firecracker, which unfortunately cost him points. Heather said the enthusiasm was nice for a change, but quite hard to channel so he did not show his full potential in either Elementary Test. He did however have such a fantastic motor that she could not help but sneak in some piaffe practice while he felt electric! Great work and good luck next weekend at Boneo.
Caity Walker (NSW) spent the day at Temora Show to do some show jumping, achieving a double clear in the 80 & 95cm for two second places, even though she retired in the jump off for the 95 because he had really had enough. Caity said she’s very proud of the big man. Great work.
Rose Cleve (VIC) had interesting news about Farmalogic Rejuvenate use in cattle. A few months ago she offered some of her steers to some young kids at a local young farmers group to show in a brand new Victorian Young Farmers Livestock Challenge at the Royal Melbourne Show. One young girl took up her offer and ended up being partnered with an Angus calf called Terry. They have practiced hard over the last few months learning everything about showing livestock and preparing their respective animals. Rose is so proud to announce her little Terry and his handler came Reserve Champion in the cattle division!! He looked absolutely super. Terry has been on the Farmalogic Rejuvenate during his prep 😍 Great work!!
Riley Thureson (QLD) competed at State SJ & EQ which was Riley’s first ever major event and it’s been a great experience! Kat got 8th, 11th & 13th to finish 14th overall in EQ. Beau started badly in the AM5 on his worst behaviour but Riley still managed to get him double clear to finish 7th , a small mistake saw them collect the last jump in the P&S to finish 4th ,again an error saw them have a stop in the GP to finish 5th putting them into 6th overall . Amazing results keep it up.
Charlie Thorne (QLD) attended PCQ State SJ Equitation, winning a Silver Medal in the 11 and under 13 group (out of 26 riders). Super effort well done.
Clair Arnold (VIC) and Dolly Diva put together some very nice work to come 3rd in the Inter I freestyle at Boneo Spring CDI this weekend. Woohoo! Great work.
Abbie Hansen (VIC) said that 2019 has been a big year for new experiences and going outside her comfort zone. Princess pony Beau and Abbie attended their first ever Show jumping competition at HRCAV TTT at Tatura park! With no idea what she was doing and Beau not being her usual show pony princess self, they haven’t had much opportunity to prepare themselves. The first class (One Round Stakes) she went clear until the last jump where 3 refusals saw them eliminated, but she did go over at the end! In the 2 phase round Beau was doing her best peppy le pew around the course and got one rail which saw them finish 9th. Finally, they had the AM7 in the indoor arena and princess was a pro! They went clear and then went into the jump-off, but Abbie jumped the wrong jump and saw them go from 6th to eliminated. Team NERC still managed to come home with a prize for best presented in level 5. They also finished 9th overall in their section. Great work Abbie, nice to see you stepped out of your comfort zone and you did really well!! Keep it up.
