Badger, Willow and Ash are happily in their forever homes but unfortunately Sandy is coming back here at the end of the month as he has never properly settled in his new home. I think maybe he was too bonded with me. Hopefully he will settle back here with the rest of the dogs.

The last of the four pups, Badger has now gone to join his forever family. Two in permanent homes and two in foster. Thank you to everyone who has helped make this possible. Forever grateful.

Ash safely in his new foster home. He quickly relaxed and was wanting to play with the resident dog when we left.

Pleased to say Willow is now happily in foster and Sandy joined his forever home today. Badger has had a meet and greet and goes to his new home on Saturday. Just Ash to go. :) We will miss them all but so happy for them.

Nice two hour break at services in Germany. Pups are tired again and sleeping in their crates. Badger and Sandy are enjoying the little walks, Ash likes to lay and watch everything and Willow comes out reluctantly and is happiest in the safety of her crate.

Now in Austria and all still going well so far. We are ahead of time so will have a few longer breaks for us and pups today. 😎😊

Now in Hungary. It is 1am and we are now stopping for a few hours rest. Pups are being very good and coping as best they can. Willow said it was too scary eating tea on the grass so had hers in the foot well of the car. Sandy, Badger and Ash said happily ate their evening meal on the grass area. Very proud of them. 😊🐾

3 hours into journey. Had first break for us and pups. Going well so far - fingers and paws crossed for the rest of it. Pups travelling well and happily sleeping in crates.

Pups had a final visit to vet ready for our journey to UK, which also worked as trial run for the pups in the crates and I was really pleased on how well they did. They settled in the crate and coped really well. Hope the trip to UK goes as well.

Sandy and Badger had a little trip into Kavarna town centre today. They were very nervous for a while and we carried them so they could get used to the sights and sounds. While I popped into the hairdressers for a quick trim Trev looked after them. Badger said hello to a young child but Sandy was too nervous and backed away. They did not react to the traffic or people but barked at the street dogs before easily being distracted by a treat. Overall they did great and we were very proud of them both

https://youtu.be/RKjsdE4J0Uw Feeding time for the pups. Sandy's bowl goes in the big blue bowl to catch the spills - it saves him getting stressed trying to find all the spills. Willow is slowest so we have to guard hers so the others don't push her out of the way.

The pups continue to progress and are learning to cope with new things and situations. Two days ago I got the lawnmower out and everytime I moved it the pups barked as they were scared and unsure of it - even though it was not switched on. Yesterday when I mowed the lawn the pups did not react to the lawnmower at all - they just looked at it as if to say ‘ it's not scary we saw it yesterday’ .
Sandy and Badger proved they could stay in the house even when we went out for a few hours with friends - they happily stayed in the crate and penned area.
Today we took the pups to another little enclosed area for an off lead run. Sandy, Ash and Badger had a great time and came to us each time we called them. Willow thought it was scary and came out for a very short while but then went back to her crate and watched the other three.

Foster/permanent homes needed. Four pups due to come to UK on 18th April and only one of them has a home to go to. Sandy, Ash and Willow want to know why no-one wants them. They are all loveable, friendly and only small/medium size (currently 7 months old and around 8kg) Should not grow much more now. Ash did have a foster offer but it seems like it will not happen now. If we do not find homes for them they will have to come back to Bulgaria and I do not know what will happen to them as we can't keep them for ever.

Only two weeks to go and still looking for homes for Ash, Sandy and Willow. They are all fully vaccinated and passported. They are now 7 months old and all have such a loving nature. Today Sandy, Badger (reserved) and Ash had a playdate with some children. Both dogs and children behaved lovely. Badger proved to be great with children and was quite happy to be picked up, Sandy was a little barky to begin with but did start to relax and was quite happy to be distracted with food. Ash proved how gentle he was and coped with being petted if he could lean against me for support but did find it a bit scary when they moved too quickly. Willow stayed at home as she would have found it a little overwhelming but hoping to take her another day. If there is anyone who could open their home and hearts to these wonderful dogs please let me know. They should not grow much more, are about 16 inches to the shoulder and weigh about 8kg. Would keep them all but only allowed 3 dogs (municipality rules) so scared they will end up in a shelter with no hope of finding homes of their own.

Sandy and Badger are now living inside overnight and have been clean all the time. They also love cuddling up on the sofa. Badger also had a playdate with a couple of local children. He was nervous of the area but loved the kids and the attention.

As spring is arriving here and the weather is becoming warmer we are now starting to take the pups out and try more lead training - it was too cold before, with strong winds and temps of minus 5. Sandy had a little walk yesterday (and is beginning to cope walking as long as not for too long) and today was Ashes turn. Ash did not mind the lead being put on but found walking far too much. He was happy being carried and when I put him down he refused to walk but did relax to look around. and to take treats and did not react when one of the village dogs came to in view. - it was only when she got too close he barked but was happy enough with me in between making a fuss of them both. Overall he coped very well with his first walk away from the rest of the dogs.

More progress with the pups. Sandy and Badger
had their first full night indoors and were absolutely brilliant. They came in at 7.30 yesterday evening and then went out for last wee about 10pm. They quickly settled in the crate and pen area and slept until I woke them up at 6.30am. They were completely clean and quiet. Very pleased and proud of them. They have always been clean in their kennel and on our balcony area and coming indoors did not affect them - if anything they were more settled.
Photos were from this morning as I did not want to disturb them by taking pictures last night.

Monthly weigh-in. The pups are just under 7 months old and we don't think they will get much bigger. The biggest to lowest are -Svetlo 8.1kg, Ash 7.6kg, Sandy 6.8kg, Willow 6.2kg and joint lowest are Badger and Tochka 6.1kg

Another cold day ( hopefully warms up end of next week) so more indoor training. Willow is slowly getting more confident and sometimes is happy with affection but the rest of the time is more happy laying in the crate watching everything going on. She would be such an easy little girl to have and just to get some help to know the world at her pace.

We have had a lovely few days of sunshine so the pups have been making the most of sunbathing. Willow and Sandy are a little sad no-one wants to offer them a home - permanent or foster. Willow says she only needs a little quiet space and a patient family to help her grow in confidence. Sandy says he is more confident but just wants a family to give all his love to and give lots of cuddles.

The pups are loving coming indoors for a little while each day and so far been clean. Sandy and Willow are looking for a foster home or better still a permanent family to love them.
Sandy is reasonably confident and very loving. Happy to have his harness on and just needs to build his experience of the world.
Willow is quite nervous but very food motivated and just wants a quiet life. She is happy to come inside in the crate and watch everything going on. She needs a quiet home, maybe with another dog to help show her the way and patience while she builds her confidence.
Ash has a foster offer but will be looking for a loving family of his own too.

So far we have a home offer for Badger and a foster offer for Ash- in nottingham (subject to homecheck) so still looking for places for Sandy and Willow. Sandy is doing really well with his housetraining and giving clear signals when he wants to go out - he literally bangs on the doors. Willow is still coming out of her shell but is happy in her crate watching everything going on.
