Cannot stress this enough! Please monitor your dogs while playing in water!

🚨Attention all dog pawrents! 🚨

Summer is here, and it's time to make sure your furry friend stays safe around water.

🌊💧💦 Pools, lakes, the ocean, sprinklers and hoses can help our pups stay cool but please use them with caution.

Did you know that water intoxication in dogs is a real threat? Learn how to recognize and prevent it with these important tips:

🚨 Limit the amount of time they spend swimming

🚨🚨🚨Limit amount of playing fetch in the water as your dog swallows water with every time they pick up the stick/ball/frisbee

👉🏻 Keep a close eye on your dog when they're playing in the water

👉🏻 Make sure they're hydrated with fresh water before and after swimming

🚨👉🏻 Seek immediate veterinary help if you notice any signs of water intoxication

➡️ 🩺🥼🧑‍⚕️‼️Here are some of the signs to look out for:

1️⃣ Excessive drinking

2️⃣ Lethargy: Dogs who are suffering from water intoxication may become lethargic and less active than usual.

3️⃣ Loss of coordination and having trouble standing or walking.

4️⃣ Vomiting and gagging

5️⃣ Dilated pupils due to having trouble focusing their eyes

If you notice any of these signs in your dog, it's important to seek veterinary attention immediately. In serious cases, water intoxication can lead to seizures, coma, and even death.

By staying vigilant and informed about the signs of water intoxication in dogs, you can help keep your pups safe and healthy.

Want to board with us this summer? Get your dates booked in asap! We have limited availability for June, July and August 2023.

Jazzys Canine Adventures provides a structured boarding environment for all sizes, breeds and temperaments.

Our goal is to provide a safe, engaging and fun vacation for your canine companion.
This program is run by myself and I take limited dogs (max 3 at a time) to ensure everyone is getting the best possible care I can give.

I have a fenced yard where I exercise the dogs plus either in pack hikes or solo adventures - depending on what your pup needs.
I also might take your pooch for additional training/stimulation in the form of a community pack walk!

I also do different enrichment exercises.

What we ask:
• Your dog is happy and comfortable in a crate.
• Your dog is fully up to date on all necessary vaccinations.

That’s it!
I have a prior Meet and Greet Assessment where we discuss your dogs needs and see if we might be a good fit!

We have some of the wildest times with Aspen! The other day it snowed and our 1 hour visit turned into 2 because he turns into a psycho but what husky doesn’t! Today we played in a baby pool with a layer of ice!

Today is gonna be another hot day! 🥵🥵 if you are going out to enjoy the heat leave your dogs at home with how how hot it is supposed to be they can get heat stroke within minutes (I totally get some people don’t have a/c so they get in the car with a/c)

With that being said pack walks are closed today!

With that comes along our unique service of our doggy taxi 🚕 if your dog has an appointment with the vet, groomer, daycare or other services that require pick up and drop off we can do that for you - no more worrying how you will get your dog from point A to point B, can’t make it for drop off or pick up?
