Results suggest there is a need to diversify thinking around EE, shifting common thinking of EE as one entity to instead consider EE in different categories and to ensure animals receive a mixture of EE types."

Watch Out for Birch Sugar in Foods❗

If you see the ingredient “birch sugar” on a food label, keep it out of your pet’s reach. ❌ This ingredient is the same thing as xylitol, a sugar alcohol sweetener that’s toxic to pets. If consumed, xylitol can lead to a sudden release of insulin, followed by a sharp drop in blood sugar (hypoglycemia), triggering vomiting, loss of consciousness and seizures in dogs (cats appear less sensitive). 🆘🐕

Xylitol may also be referred to as “birch sap” or “wood sugar,” so keep an eye out for these ingredients on labels as well.

One of our (Jody Zesko and myself )biggest pet peeves is the daily peanut butter stuffed Kong.

It’s no different than a person having a daily caramel macchiato - lots of calories and zero nutrition.

This photo shows actual amounts of fresh food that your dog could have over a week -the same amount of calories as 1 TBS x 7 days.

▶Chicken breast, ground beef, eggs, broccoli, blueberries, plain applesauce, plain yogurt.

Es ist an der Zeit, das generationenübergreifende Trauma zu durchbrechen und sich unserer Muster aus der Vergangenheit bewusst zu werden. Es ist an der Zeit, uns selbst und unseren Kindern gegenüber mitfühlend zu werden.

Ein Kind lernt, Probleme durch Gespräche zu lösen, wenn wir Konflikte in der Familie auf diesem Weg lösen. Wenn Probleme mit Drohungen und Strafen gelöst werden, wird es eines Tages genauso handeln.

Ein Kind lernt Mitgefühl, wenn wir ihm gegenüber mitfühlend sind.

Ein Kind lernt, anderen zuzuhören, wenn wir dem Kind zuhören, wenn wir uns dafür interessieren, wie es sich fühlt und wie seine Welt aussieht.

Ein Kind lernt an sich zu glauben, wenn wir an es glauben.

Wir müssen unsere Kinder nicht erziehen, sondern sie liebevoll kultivieren. ❤

BOARD AND TRAIN = BIG BIG RED FLAG !!!

What Really Goes On Once You're Out of Sight.

Is it possible there are good board and trains? Of course, it’s possible. Would I trust a board and train facility that seems to say all the right things, their testimonials are outstanding and they have impressive looking logos on their website. Not a chance!

In our opinion board and trains aren't worth the risk. A dog left at a boarding facility is likely already stressed and anxious being separated from his family. Having a stranger putting pressure on him to learn when in that state is an extra burden he doesn’t need. If that person's training skills are heavy handed the suffering increases dramatically.

Dogs are members of the family and it is us who should be beside our dog(s), learning together, and when needed, with the guidance of a skilled competent trainer. Leaving your dog with strangers no matter how well known or popular a business may be is a big gamble. A gamble far too many have lost. Pet parents have spent literally tens of thousands to have their pets trained only to return and find them ill, injured, traumatized and/or malnourished. That’s if they survive. Yes, survive. Some literally die while in board and train, under suspicious or violent circumstances.

You can’t protect your dog when you aren’t there.
Please share and alert other pet parents to always thoroughly research any person you give access to your pets. If you do use a board and train, don't assume, know everything! We recommend you always stay with your pet(s) during training.
