An important part of being in the veterinary field is continuing to learn and grow so that we can all provide the highest quality of care possible.
Recently, two of our RVTs, Jenna and Alaina attended the annual International Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society conference, while our Hospital Manager, Cheryl, was in attendance at the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association conference. They came back from these conferences with new ideas to share with the team at Ellwood that will be implemented with the goal of always improving how we care for you and your beloved pets! 🐶🐱

While we understand that it can be stressful for many of our feline friends to visit the veterinary hospital, it is a very important part of maintaining their health.

Cats are known to be very stoic animals. This means that often they don't show us signs of illness until it is quite advanced. Annual exams for cats of all ages, as well as blood work and other diagnostic tests are crucial for early detection of disease. This makes it possible for early diagnosis and treatment, resulting in a longer and happier life!

If you would like to schedule an appointment or have questions about how to make your cat's visit a more positive experience, don't hesitate to contact us!
