The Unleashed Boutique is a Fear Free one-on-one dog grooming salon located in Abbotsford, B.C. We believe that all dogs deserve to be treated with respect and kindness. We cannot jus

t make a dog do what we want because we “said so”. We must make a connection and gain their trust. Only then can we teach them that there is nothing to fear from the grooming process. Each dog is different and requires something different from the groom. Some dogs need to take breaks, some dogs need to do the zoomies after a bath. Some dogs want kisses, some really don’t want kisses. Some dogs need a game of fetch before standing on the table for an hour, while others need to be groomed over several visits. At The Unleashed Boutique, we let dogs be dogs. From the stress free environment to the high quality natural products we use, every aspect of our job is to help your dog thrive. AMY DIEHL
Since 2010, Amy has been a professional dog groomer, Canadian Professional Pet Stylists member and CPPS certified Salon Technician. Passionate about all things dog, with a particular interest in canine behaviour and holistic well being, she is a certified Fear Free Pet Groomer, educated in dog training from Animal Behavior College, as well as certified in canine first-aid through Walks N Wags.

“There are 3 things I focus on when it comes to dog grooming. First, that dogs are safe and stress free. This is the #1 priority. They are having a good time and are in no danger of being traumatized or injured. Second, the groom is thorough, beautifully executed, and benefiting the well being of the dog. Third, I partner with my clients to give their dogs the best possible care. I am a resource for my clients, whether its showing what type of brush to use on your dog, or dispelling behaviour and training myths, I’m here to help.”

A Brief History…
In 2010, Amy opened The Unleashed Boutique in Fort St. shortly after graduating from Western Dog Grooming School. She spent eight wonderful years grooming for her amazing clients in the Northern B.C. town, honing her skill in grooming and low stress handling. Early 2019 she moved to Abbotsford, B.C. and in 2020 reopened The Unleashed Boutique. In the reopening of The Unleashed Boutique, Amy has taken her previous focus of low stress grooming and pushed it farther to become a Fear Free dog grooming salon.

I can't thank you guys enough for your business! This is really wild, but I'm beginning to think I may be booked solid until 2025 in about a month!

October is almost fully booked, December is booking up. There is still availability in November but it will certainly be filled up soon at this rate.

This is wonderful, but I know it can be frustrating for some who are having a hard time booking in. I'm recommending booking until the end of the year. I will be working extra days closer to the Christmas holidays so if you are unable to find anything in December using the online booking link, please contact me to book in.

I have a cancellation list going so if you end up needing to cancel your appointment please let me know ASAP so I can offer the spot to someone else.

Hey current clients! I'm wondering if there is any interest in learning how to do some at home grooming for your dog?

I'm considering offering some in home lessons where I can teach you how to properly (and maybe even easily) bathe your dog, proper brushing, sanitary trims, paw trims, face trims. Maybe teach some simple cooperative care techniques.

This could help with coat maintenance to prevent matting (maybe we can have a longer fluffier haircut?) or managing shedding, or even extending the time between professional appointments. Or this could be a great way to learn how to set your puppy up for success as I could show you how to properly introduce your puppy to grooming so that grooming is no big deal to them!

If there is interest, I would come up with lesson plans and possibly start offering these personalized lessons in the new year.

Hey everyone, don't forget to book in your grooms!

September is officially FULL except for some room for nail trims and face trims.

Going forward it's going to be booked out a steady 3-4 weeks ahead as we head back to school, fall, and then the holiday season. Please plan ahead and book your pups in. I recommend booking the rest of their appointments for the year to guarantee a spot on your preferred schedule.

You can use the online booking link to see what's available and book in. If you don't already have the online booking link or need it sent again just text me and I'll give it to you.

I am starting a waitlist in case anyone cancels. I recommend using the booking link to get something in the books and then texting me that you would like to go on the waitlist in case anything sooner opens up.
