it’s been a busy week I can’t even count how many we did this week but I can almost remember today groups of 3s - 3 mares bred, 3 mares treated, 3 post breeding lavages … 3 new preg checks (all in foal!!) one twin reduction; 3 - 30 day checks all still good -! 3 stallions collected and shipped - one stallion frozen!! and 3 amazing team members helping me get it done - without them this place dose not run ! thank you ! Larissa, Kera , Claudia and my right hand women ( literally) Valentina and Kevin of-course!

This is for our Canadian mare owners who are breeding to stallions that are located in the USA. If you are breeding to a stallion in the states reach out to your veterinarian who is breeding your mare with your completed stallion contract so that they can get the import permit. This should be done sooner rather than later as it can take up to 2 weeks to get the final import permit.

𝗧𝗶𝗽 𝟭) Read your contract.
When reading your contract, ensure you go over the terms and conditions. Make notes on all additional fees whether it be shipping costs, collection fees and chute fees. Also note the rebreed fees and guarantees.

𝐓𝐢𝐩 𝟐) Take notes on the collection days, cut off times to order a collection, cancel times and dates your stallion may be unavailable. This will help plan when your mare should be checked and whether she may need a clean up before breeding her. Scheduling a pre-breeding soundness exam will be money well spent in the long run of the breeding season and give you your best chance at a foal.

𝐓𝐢𝐩 𝟑) Sign and Send in
Ensure that your stallion contract is filled out and sent to the stallion manager. This include ensuring all fees are paid as well as having the correct shipping address to ship via FedEx, Purolator or Air. If you are not sure, reach out to us!
