Some days I use technology about as well as a gerbil. Which is to say I've run across the keyboard and chewed the wires and now my email is down. The 2022 revision of the Barn Hunt rules goes into effect June 1 and is now available at barnhunt.com
There are definitely some bigger changes this time around than we've seen in previous revisions, do give them a read! I will be reviewing them myself of course so I van answer any questions you might have during your lessons.

It will answer questions about bookings, what kinds of dogs are and are not suitable for bane hunt and adjacent sports, and of course some of the common inquires about the gerbils too. Also NASDA practice times for the next two Saturdays are up and available for booking as well.

An announcement!

A little late, because I was running around buying some new stuff for the gerbils yesterday instead of doing computer things, but please take a moment to read the following information:

With the government mask mandate being lifted I understand many of you are excited to shed your face coverings, however, as a private service provider I would greatly appreciate your choice to ~continue to mask~ while attending barn hunt lessons for just a little while longer.

Mandatory isolation requirements for covid symptoms are still in place, so I would appreciate the gesture in order to help keep myself and everyone I have contact with safe, healthy and avoiding the financial burden of self isolation.
You have all been absolutely awesome about it all this time so I thank you in advance!

I've updated the covid protocols, barn hunt lessons are open for next week, and nasda practice is open for the next two saturdays (for shed dog and urban locating only, it is still too early in the year for trailing and locating) Click the Book Now link when you're ready. Facebook is giving me a hard time lately! So let's try this again.
The calendar for barn hunt is slowly opening for next week. I'm having some hiccups in my schedule, so pardon the chunkyness of it, click Book Now to access the calendar and check back often, as always for changes and cancellations.
Those who are also signing up for the nasda games and who have missed this announcement on the nasda pages please bear in mind that it is ~too cold~ outside for trailing and locating. Runs being offered right now are shed dog and urban locating. If you register for trailing and locating your registration will automatically be switched to shed dog and/or urban locating.
I'll be making some announcements over the next several days, so stay tuned in!

Oh no! The unthinkable has happened! The gerbils are out of cardboard! (And i missed recycling day in my neighbourhood. Oops) Did you know the gerbils need to continuously chew and shred wood, cardboard, and paper in order to wear their teeth down and prevent overgrowth? They also think it's the best game ever, seconded only by digging. So if anyone coming for lessons happens to have "shreddables" the gerbils sure do appreciate "tips". If you're stopping by Hightails for anything else feel free to drop things in the barn hunt building on the bale by the door. Their wishlist includes: toilet, paper towel, and wrapping paper tubes. Crunchy packing paper. Tissue boxes and other similar sized cardboard boxes, cardboard drink trays and egg cartons. The paper sleeves off coffee cups, paper bags, twigs pruned from fruit trees, balsa wood, popsicle sticks, cardboard straws, paper napkins, tissue paper...
