Actually took a day off! Well most of the day anyway :-) did a little road trip up to see this guy Highway with the family! Little bit of a mental break traffic was not! And we did a little bit of work, but overall nice relaxing day. What did you do for the long weekend!?

I lost a lamb tonight. This is the hard part of farming...when you have losses and you don't know why! You ask yourself over and over...what could i have done differently!? And the truth is...i don't know. Maybe nothing. Maybe something. But all you can so...is all you can do! And tonight i am done...

Today was a busy day! Picked blueberries! Picked Saskatoon .. Cleaned with cherries from the other night and tomatoes and dealt with the fact that someone broke into my car and stole some things! No fun ! Iam focusing on the good things! So lots of fruits and veggies around! I currently have all available except for the cherries! Chicken success!!!! First time for us at the farm! We've had a broody gem for 3 weeks and i was so scared it wouldn't work that i didn't post any progress pics! But she did it! 5 happy little chicks.. momma and babies doing well!

After our monthly planning and budget meeting ((**groan!**)) at our local ..we decided to try something new!! Fresh crab, by recommendation of our friend ... it was great! I didn't get a picture of the actual pliers we used to crack them open! So funny! What's the craziest thing you've used to serve food!!?

Today we did a random thing! We went to a local Farmers market as a vendor! It was s big push from a good friend..(you know who you are!!) We had a great turnout and had tons of local support! Really blessed and grateful to be a part of a healthy food chain! Thanks to everybody who showed up and participated!!*
