I should've posted this a few weeks ago but I was slacking 🙃 Cayenne and I got to run at The Prestige in Brandon. It's been YEARS that I always wanted to compete there but timing and horse wise it never lined up. Well we went and we won money both days. She done good, amazing actually. She was so ready and focused. Thanks to Technavet products- Galozyme Sport and Complex40 for helping her feel good inside and out. Also thankful for our sponsor Willow Rock Services LTD for getting us down the road!
We're getting there 🥰 my goal was for a smooth run and just let her do it. And we did it and got an 18.3. We crushed 1 goal of the year to place in the 2D 🥹❤️

Well this weekend definitely didn't go how I wanted it to. But it was sure a learning curve and a reminder that it's been a while since running seasoned horses and that Cayenne isn't as seasoned as I thought. I have work to do but she is coming along. Day one we struggled on second, she was doing great and then decided she was going to test me 😅🤣 Day 2 was much better. Day 3 at the ex getting ready she felt great. There was ALOT going on and she has never been at a fair like that. We headed to first and then I thought she was going to ditch me, we were RUNNING and then I felt her body hesitate and when she saw something and I said "please no" I felt her suck it up and keep going. Thank gosh.
Time to get ready for next weekend! I lucked out and got a slot in the Prestige so we are headed back to Brandon 🥰
Thanks to my Sponsors for getting me down the road!
Round penning, good for the green horses and broke seasoned horses. They should be able to walk jog and lope easily and calmly. I do round pen work with all of my horses at least once a week.
Pretty proud of my little mare, Sheza Peppy Rey Doc "Cayenne" in Brandon this past weekend. We may not have been the fastest...yet but she sure showed her confident self and we ran a 15.7 on Saturday(no video :( ) and a 15.0 on Sunday. She's got much more to give I just haven't got up the nerves to push her. Being off the past 2 years and having a baby my nerves sure get to me but that's something I am determined to get over this year and to push for faster times, not just sit there holding on😅. We won an average champ jacket this weekend too!
October 29th jackpot on Cayenne
We have been in Alberta for the past 2 almost 3 months! I got to shake the dust off and do some barrel racing on my little mare again. October 29th jackpot was 18.1 and this one (yesterday, November 12th) was a 17.4! So happy to be back at it 🥰
