INGREDIENT HIGHLIGHT!! Castor Oil
Castor Oil has grown in popularity in the Health & Beauty market.
This heavy oil creates a strong barrier to protect the moisture in skin & hair. When hair is dry and brittle, it is easily damaged and breaks off. Soft, moisturized hair is better able to withstand those external damages, allowing it to stay intact to grow longer and thicker.
Other great benefits of castor oil:
- Anti-inflammatory
- Antimicrobial
- Antioxidant
- Hepatoprotective
- Insecticidal
- Wound-healing
Castor oil is produced through cold pressing the seeds of the ricinus communis plant to extract oil.
Notes:
Many people are aware of the toxin, ricin, in castor beans. This protein (ricin) is water-soluble, meaning refined castor oil is free from possible allergens and toxins, making it safe for pharmaceutical applications.
Cautions:
Use caution with active breeding horses as it also contains compounds that exhibit anticonceptive and antifertility properties.
The benefits of castor oil are to be enjoyed through topical applications, please do not ingest.
