Winter was less than ideal for snow accumulation and weather... Most of the big races and events were cancelled due to insufficient snow pack, or not cold enough to freeze the ice below.
Super stoked for the results we did accomplish on such a tiny handful of events.

New Title in the House!
Sirius had a great day at FGC sprinters event and got his novice title.
I need to confirm with CKC, but he may be the first Azawakh in Canada to earn a Sprinter's title.
We had fun!

Tarrango's Curtain Call CA CGN NTD
Shady finally got to play in the field last weekend. I REALLY thought he would be a beast out there, but I think the pressure of running with the other dogs was a bit much for my squishy lad.
Some of his runs were great! And some were not 😅🙈
Either way, I'm happy he gets to play! It was a year ago that he suffered that muscle tear, which put him on the sidelines for all of our summer and fall fun. I rehabbed that injury slowly with big help from great friends ( from Turn2 Chiropractic & ). He's got lots of time to get comfy with the game and running in company - just so thrilled that he's in the field and doing all the things like the tear never happened.
Looking forward to the next one, as always!

I pretty much don't have words.
The best little buddy we could have asked for, he didn't really create any adventures, but he was there for every one we went on.
The best cuddle buddy.
He loved reading at the library more than anything 🧡🧡
Such a stellar companion from day 1,
My hopes for him as a performance dog were quickly dashed, but he was perfect nonetheless.
Nearly 16 years isn't enough.

I hope you've already found Weezy and Murv.
I'll see you again, my best little friend.

Kick ass run in the 6 dog class yesterday! Got to pilot a wicked strong 5 dogs - 2 from Harvey's Racing and 3 from Blue Streak Racing Kennels. Damn, this might be my new favourite thing! Had a kufuffle at the start due to a slight gear malfunction, so left the start last and very late. These guys were on fire! And didn't disappoint, great passes, head on and overtaking other teams on both gee and ha sides. I LOVE THIS! Super stoked for my second race, and having only used the sled a couple of times.
