Grandma Doris
Grandma Doris zooming around with a mission. A Mission to create chaos! Likely looking for food or a ball to hide (her two favourite things)
The Grandparents
These two came to us as a “unbonded” pair. In fact we were told that the boy (larger, adrenal) would chase down and hurt the girl (smaller).
We can’t speak for before coming to us, but since arriving and with the boys adrenal being treated (lupron, melatonin), Mr Walter dots in his girl Doris. As you can see, he is grooming her and she is accepting of it.
Adrenal can cause a change in behaviour. Especially for male ferrets - you can start to see more aggression, along with other more physical signs (the main one being hair loss). This condition will generally show after 3 years of age. It is very treatable, but it is a life long condition and must be managed. Speak to your vet about options you have available, but please don’t leave your pet to suffer.
(PS. Walter is showing hair regrowth and we can’t wait to see how beautiful he will look with a fuller coat)
