This is a very difficult post to write.

We have come to the end of the road with Higgins. The fosterer cannot keep him and we have no where for him to go. We have done numerous posts advertising and begging people to consider fostering or adopting him.

Only a week after successfully finding homes for three dogs with cropped ears on death row in Dublin Pound we are ashamed to admit one of our very own dogs is in that situation now.

We had a couple of people apply but as soon as we looked for more information they never got back to us despite repeated attempts to contact them.

Three year old Higgins is great with kids and with people. He is not good with cats. His house training was going great until he had to go to an outside kennel due to cats in the house. He is strong but very trainable. Higgins is a super boy and doesn’t deserve to be in this situation.

So only a week before Christmas and our hearts are broken over this predicament. This is his last chance . Please don’t slam us for not putting him in commercial kennels. Most don’t take his breed now and it’s not fair on him to languish in kennels with no applications for adoption.

Higgins is fine with other easy going dogs after proper introductions. He is neutered already.
