You may not be able to ask your questions to find out what they're thinking, but there are some basic things you can do to ensure they are happy and healthy.

Start with a well-rounded diet and plenty of playtime to prevent any weight-gain or issues with obesity. A healthy weight helps avoid issues like diabetes and joint problems down the line.

🦷 Don't forget about their teeth—regular brushing and can make a big difference in preventing gum disease and tooth loss.

💧 is super important so make sure your cat is drinking enough water daily, or try some to help them out. Urinary tract problems can be a concern, especially in male cats, so keeping them hydrated and making sure the litter box stays clean is key.

🐈 Cats naturally need to shed the outer layer of their claws, and scratching helps them do that. By using a , they can safely shed old claw sheaths and keep their claws sharp and healthy. Without a proper outlet, cats may scratch furniture, carpets, or even themselves, potentially causing injury or damage.

As your cat ages, kidney health becomes more important, so regular visits will help catch any issues early. Watch for signs of diabetes, like excessive thirst or weight loss, and keep an eye on their food intake.

💡 Pro Tip: Make sure your cat gets their regular to stay protected.

Love is in the (slightly restricted) air!

Nothing says true love quite like a perfectly punny Valentine! But if you’ve ever met a brachycephalic pet—like a Pug, Bulldog, or Persian cat—you know that their short, squishy faces come with some breathing challenges. These breeds have shorter airways, narrow nostrils, and elongated soft palates, which can make it harder for them to breathe properly. (But don’t worry, they still have plenty of love to give! )

Tag someone who makes you feel a little brachycephalic when they’re around!

We believe a strong community is built on care, compassion, and looking out for each other—including the pets who need us.

Through our community outreach programs like , , and partnerships with and , we’re working hard to make sure every pet gets the love and essentials they deserve for a happy, healthy life.

For many pet owners, especially those going through tough times, the love for their pets often means putting their own needs aside. It's not always easy to afford food, vet visits, and other care for our furry friends.

That's why we're here—to help with food for families, supplies for shelters, free rabies and vaccine clinics across Canada, and giving rescue animals a second chance.

Together, we can make a real difference for our pets and our community!

Keep an eye on our socials for some pretty incredible stories. 🐾💙

Did you know that dental disease is one of the most common health issues in pets? By the age of three, many cats and dogs are already showing signs of gum disease!

Much like us, without regular care, plaque and tartar build-up can lead to pain, infections, and serious health problems beyond just bad breath. But don’t worry—keeping those pearly whites in top shape is easier than you think!

Simple steps for a healthier smile:
- Brush their teeth (yes, really!)
- Offer vet-approved dental chews
- Schedule regular professional cleanings when recommended

A little care today can prevent big problems tomorrow. Ask your veterinarian about your dog’s dental health at your next visit.

Keeping Your Dog Active When It’s Too Cold for Walks!

Cold weather doesn’t have to mean a bored pup! Here are 7 fun ways to keep your dog active indoors:

1. Puzzle Toys & Treat Dispensers – Mental stimulation can be just as tiring as physical exercise! Use
puzzle toys, snuffle mats, or stuffed Kongs to keep your pup engaged.
2. Indoor Fetch – If you have enough space, toss a soft toy or ball down a hallway or across a room to
get your dog running.
3. Play a game of Tug-of-War – A good game of tug can burn energy and strengthen your bond.
4. Set Up a Homemade Obstacle Course – Use household items like pillows, chairs, and blankets to
create a fun agility course.
5. Work On Their Tricks – Teach new tricks or reinforce old ones to keep your dog’s mind and body
active.
6. Try a Doggy Playdate – If your pup is social, invite a dog friend over for supervised indoor play.
7. Indoor Dog Park or Doggy Daycare – When the cold snap is longer than a few days and your dog is
climbing the walls out of boredom, try a local indoor dog park or doggy daycare
