Santa's coming! And i know what I'm getting! As many of you know already, I am having knee surgery on Dec 19th. As such, I am closing the shop early this year. Dec 18th will be the last day that I will be open in 2024. I wish I had set plans as to when I will reopen, but it will depend on my recovery. I am hoping to be back to work selling retail the first week of Jan and grooming my small clients mid Jan. I will be hiring an assistant in the new year to help with the daycare dogs as I can't risk any playful pups running into my knee and setting my recovery back but please have a back up plan just in case. I will keep everyone updated as things progress. Thank you so much for your understanding ❤️

Designer Mutts by Laura is 8 years old today! I almost forgot! I'm not one to celebrate or throw a party but I would like to thank all of my wonderful clients for all these years of support. I have learned so much in 8 years and built a clientelle that i absolutely adore. Many of you have gone above and beyond to make sure I feel appreciated. And I want you all to know how much I appreciate you too. One of my favourite things about my work is seeing how happy it makes you to see your pet freshly groomed. And some of the toughest cases have been the most rewarding to me. I rarely accept new clients anymore, which is probably a terrible business strategy but it is so easy to get burnt out in this industry and I want to always make sure that I'm my best self for you and your dogs. And I promise to continue to always do my best. So thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being my livelihood and my family ❤️

The busy horse show season is well under way for me! As such, i am not always reachable on weekends. Not only are horse shows busy but they also take me to places where cell service is spotty like this past weekend at Rocky Mountain House. And soon, summer holidays! The shop will be closed, and there will be no daycare services the week of July 14th to 19th. I will be out of cell service during this time also. Please plan accordingly. GOG!
