Our facility is located in South Calgary.
The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for horses, takes pride in providing excellent care, and enjoys working both independently and as part of a team. A positive attitude is essential. Availability and flexibility to work both weekdays and weekends is required.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• General daily care of horses
• Feeding, blanketing, and turning horses in and out
• Mucking stalls
• Daily arena maintenance
• Filling water troughs
• General yard and facility maintenance
Tractor experience is an asset but not required.

2026 SUMMER HORSE CAMPS-BOTH CAMPS ARE NOW FULL, REGISTRATION IS CLOSED
July 20-24
August 3-7 (including holiday Monday)

Cost is $600 plus GST per week.

A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required to hold a spot in the camp, which must be sent via E-transfer when you send in your Registration Form, Waiver, Medical Consent Form, and Media Release Form.
Full balance is due 30 days prior to the first day of the camp your child is attending.

The camp attendees ride once per day but are busy with other horse related activities such as learning anatomy, grooming, and doing horsey crafts and games. Often the camp includes a part day field trip to a nearby Horse Show, more details to come on this at a later date.
No riding experience is necessary.

We have an excellent camp team including a designated camp trainer and a mom/rider/schoolteacher that manages and organizes the overall program and crafts. Many of our experienced teen riders volunteer, so the riders have help and companionship at camp. We group our participants with consideration to ages and riding level to optimize their experience.

The right candidate will have a passion and care for horses. They will like working on their own and as a team and possess a great attitude. We are hoping to find someone who is willing and has the flexibility to work both weekdays and weekends.

Duties Include but not limited to:
-horse care

-cleaning barns (up to 21 stalls - between 2 people)

-general care of property (fixing fences, cleaning, mowing etc)

-reliable

-be confident around horses with a keen eye for detail

This 🙌

A small stab in the heart is what you feel when you put up the day's riding list and you see riders sinking heavily in their shoulders when reading which horse they are assigned for the lesson. A small stab in the heart for that horse that for an hour will carry around a rider who has already decided that he does not like his horse. A small stab in the heart for the horse that did not choose the rider himself but still does his best, lesson after lesson.

Riding is a privilege and something you have chosen to do. If you chose to ride at a riding school, your instructor assumes that you actually want to learn how to ride. The instructor's highest wish is that you get good at it.

Often there is a plan and a thought as to why you are assigned to that exact horse. Before you mount up next time, ask yourself "what can this horse teach me today?" All horses have something to give, a feeling or a new tool in the box.

The art is actually in being able to get a lazy horse to move forward, to get an uncertain horse to gain confidence, a naughty horse to focus or a tense horse to be released. It takes work. If you think a horse is boring, it's more likely that you don't ride the horse as well as you think! It's not easy to be confronted with your own shortcomings, but it is in that very situation that you get the chance to truly grow as a rider.

The excuse that "it's not my kind of horse" is actually a really bad excuse. A good rider can ride any kind of horse. A good rider has trained many hours on different types of horses to become a good rider. A good rider can find and manage the gold nuggets in every horse.

If we absolutely want to ride, it is our duty to strive to do it as best as possible, even if it's only for fun. We owe it to every horse that carries us upon it's back.

2025 Week long SUMMER HORSE CAMPS

Camp 1: July 21-25 Camp 2: August 18-22

Monday to Friday, 9 am to 4 pm.

A safe, fun and friendly environment to learn basic English riding and horsemanship skills.

Camps include horse-related craft sessions, with T-shirts included in price.

No experience necessary, ages 7-14.
