Rexie babies are sooooo sweet! But the colouring on this little on is spectacular! We’ve never had any otters in our rabbitry before but this little one looks like a Vienna marked blue otter and we are here for it!!

This is our first ever all harlequin litter and we’re so excited for it! Momma is our purebred Holland lop Harley and papa is Garfield our little mixed breed harlequin. These little loves are growing great and will make some wonderful pets!!

We’re sorry we haven’t been very active on here lately. We’ve been busy making amazing summer memories with our families, and of course taking care of farm life gardening and tending to bunnies etc. Summer is winding down though and we’re ready to get back to it! Keisha had a single baby survive of her litter of 6. We’re sad to retire her from our program but so happy with this little nugget!!
It’s our first time raising a singleton and we weren’t aware of the dangers of one baby getting all the milk. After a few days we noticed the baby was reeeeallllly chonky and when we came to check on it, it was almost always on its back. We decided to keep an eye on it but after a few more days it became apparent that being so chonky was actually hurting it. It’s legs were starting to splay and it couldn’t get around very well without tipping over or rolling to it’s back. We started bringing the kit inside for afternoons, then a couple times overnight. I’m happy to report it’s at a more healthy weight now and is hopping around happily. We don’t see any more signs of its leg being splayed so I think we’re out of the woods! Meanwhile this little one has wormed its way into my heart big time!!
