Global Pets has been a sponsor at every single seminar at CAHS, every single Gala AND the fundraiser for Jensen Ranch Rescue, that I have attended.
The generousity this family gives to helping the rescue world is above and beyond.

And yes, since I can’t have a dog, I am going to train my cat to a harness. I’m going to show her the world. I hope she is as excited as I am 😎

The hardest truth I have had to work through on my dog behaviour learning path, is there are still many humans that think they are the only species that think and feel.

The Cochrane Humane Society is celebrating 25 years since opening their doors to the thousands of animals they have helped save and find forever homes for.
This year at the Volunteer and Donor Award celebration I received the ‘Friend of the Animals Award’!!!!!
There is no other I would have been more proud to receive.
The staff and volunteers and donors at CAHS are some of the best people on earth and to be part of this team makes my heart ♥️ happy. These are my people and we give our time and love and the gift of hope✨

Look at Poppy!

Meet Poppy. Our girl has many fantastic qualities, she’s brilliant, active and absolutely loves to train. She already has a lot of her basic obedience mastered including, sit, down, leave it, stay and loose leash walking. Poppy enjoys keeping very active and it is for this reason that she isn’t your typical house pet. She ‘s no couch potato!! Poppy needs someone who will help channel her energy into something proactive such as agility, sports or specialized work. Basically, she needs a job to do and if she doesn’t have one, she will find other ways to keep herself busy. At the shelter she has learned how to use the treadmill, has participated in daily mental exercises such as scent work and brain games and takes many off site trips to help keep up with her energy requirements. While Poppy’s mantra is GO GO GO, she also savors those calm moments of crawling into the laps of her favourite people for a good cuddle. She enjoys playing with other dogs although she can be a bit enthusiastic in her play style so any potential sibling would need to be someone who can match her energy. Poppy needs someone who is skilled in training and handling, no first-time dog owners need apply! We have no doubt that Poppy would make a great companion to someone who is looking for a dog to work with them as a partner rather than as an average pet. If spirit, drive and brilliance are qualities you are looking for in a dog, then Poppy is your girl!

Because these pups were on this end of the
Covid dog adoption frenzy, they became long term residents. They have countless hours of positive reinforcement training with CAHS staff, volunteers and PACE students. Its a win win!! Their beautiful hearts are sure to bring joy into your home.🐾
