Meet Martha! This happy-go-lucky youngster arrived as a stray, so we don’t know her backstory. She is such a friendly girl and has made many friends at the shelter! And can we talk about those ears for a second? They certainly add to her charm! Being a teenager, Martha is lacking a bit confidence at times but she has made so much progress. She definitely perks up when she has a doggie pal with her, so a home with another pooch would be wonderful. Martha picks up training very quickly and is a super smart and food motivated pup - there’s no doubt she’s going to be a superstar in her obedience class!

Wally and Puffin have seen some things in their 19 years but these resilient boys remain loyal and bonded brothers. They’re sweet and friendly, independent yet cuddly. They fill their days with snacks and naps, happiest curled up in a comfortable bed and if there’s a sunbeam to bask in, even better. These sweet boys deserve a loving home where they can live out their bonus years as part of a family.

If she fits, she sits.

Algebra is ready to do the math and determine how many boxes she can fit into! When she’s not occupying a cardboard cube, Algebra enjoys playing with toys and exploring her surroundings. This shy girl will benefit from a patient home that will allow her time to settle in. Before you know it she’ll be blessing you with her presence and maybe even helping with your calculus homework!

NOW OPEN for 2025 PACE Applications for start date May 6th, 2025!

Application Deadline: April 5, 2025

‍If you are interested in becoming a well-rounded and certified dog trainer our PACE program may be right for you. Anyone interested in working in the animal field would benefit from PACE whether you want to start your own rescue organization, dog walking, boarding, or become a professional trainer, groomer, veterinarian, or animal health technician.

Our program is fun, flexible, and in-depth.

What else makes us different from others out there? More practical, hands-on experience with a wide variety of dogs!

Re*****on was brought to us by a kind citizen that saw him get hit by a car on the highway. This sweet pup was in shock after the traumatic injury and needed emergency medical attention. Reno had very laboured breathing due to severe pulmonary contusions, he also had a bite wound, mange on his face, and a significant back leg injury that required specialized orthopaedic surgery.

Two months later, Remi was strong enough to have his surgery to repair his back leg. He required weeks of post-op physiotherapy but had a remarkable recovery and is now happy and healthy in his new home! ❤️

Rousey is named after the fearless MMA champion, Ronda Rousey, and she embodies that same spirit (although perhaps it’s more like Rousey - the retirement years). She’s a loyal companion who’s always ready for a snuggle and is happy to spend most of the day snoozing away. Your typical house hippo, Rousey enjoys a variety of dog beds and couches on which she can sprawl out. With her adorable smile and infectious enthusiasm, Rousey proves every day that she’s a champion in her own right!
