You just adopted a shelter pet? Here’s what to expect...
Give them time, love, and patience—and watch the magic happen.
First 3 Days:
They may feel overwhelmed, scared, or shut down. Some won’t eat, drink, or want to interact. This is normal.
First 3 Weeks:
They start learning the routine, feeling more at ease, and slowly showing their true personality.
First 3 Months:
Trust starts to grow, routines settle, and your bond gets stronger every day.
Rescue takes time. But it’s so worth it.

Hey everyone! We are a small family owned pet store catering to dogs and cats. We are planning on having a fun Summer Pawty August 9th. Official poster to come!

We will be doing pup cups, a fun summer themed photoshoot with the backdrop below, and gift bags to the first 25 people. Your pups will also be entered into our monthly draw for dog of the month.

Photos will be from 10-5. $20 per photo with all proceeds going to the Cochrane & Area Humane Society

We hope to see you there for a fun summer celebration! Dogs, Kids and even cats are welcome!

Meet Wally & Puffin
Cat Brothers. Lifelong Bond.

These sweet seniors came to the Cochrane & Area Humane Society scared, underweight, and in pain. At 19 years old, both were missing several teeth, and needed even more removed once they arrived.

Not long after settling in, Puffin developed a lump inside his mouth, and both boys were moved into our Palliative Care Program to live out their golden years in comfort and peace, surrounded by love.

What a night! From live entertainment to raffles, auctions, and amazing food, our event was full of fun and heart.
Huge thanks to Kendra Watt & the Sweet Home Real Estate for organizing such a fantastic evening and raising over $28,500 to support animals in need.
