UPDATE: this dog has found a loving new family where she is thriving!

Please help! This dog was brought to us today without ID and was found on Mount Washington. Our concern is that the owner may not know where to look, and may still be searching on the mountain. If you recognize this dog please let us know, otherwise please "share" to help spread the word!

Today, we laid our beautiful boy, my heart, to rest. Kidney failure came fast and hard, taking his body away from him in 2 short days. This dog gave me his all throughout is 15, almost 16 yrs of life. Talent, strength, beauty, and brains all wrapped up. He truly was/is, my vision of what a working aussie should be. In my heart forever......Westwinds Sundance Kid.

Soooo, how many of my aussie friends worry about a pups bite at 4 months old? Codys is even right now but his bottom incisor (adult coming in) is up against the outside of his upper gumline. Can't stop checking it!! Ack i will freak if this otherwise perfect pup has a bad bite!!

Someone got "bit" by the grumpy ole lady in the house a couple of hours ago. Lots of blood but I have no idea where from. Muzzle is starting to swell and his pain was kicking in so gave him some pain meds. Poor baby was just trying to give her kisses. Was interesting to see the other females comfort him. Especially Hope. She cleaned all the blood off of him and groomed his face.

Some people feel those that believe in purebred dogs are breed snobs. This article doesn't cover it all but it is a start. Please read, please educate those you talk to that feel they might want to purchase a designer breed.

Far from being resilient to disease, many of these cross-breeds are, in fact, far more vulnerable to agonising illness and infection than pedigree dogs.

I know this is not dog related but....up for adoption to the right home is "Kitty"an 8 yr old orange tabby neutered male UTD on all vaccinations etc. Was brought into the clinic today due to increase drinking and urination...diagnosis is diabetic. Owners not willing to manage so requested euthansia. Kitty has recently arrived from a cross canada move from Ottawa. He is a beautiful boy, and very nice temperament. Quiet, doesn't mind dogs, and did have another cat he got along well with. Sad situation for him but I am hoping someone out there has room in their heart to take on this lovely cat. Please mssg me if you would like more info. And please share this post!

Omg, he is finally napping. My entire day has been about entertaining Cody. Out to the barn, feild walk, leash training, trick training, stuffed kong, weeble kong with kibble, wrestling, brushing, potty potty and more potty. I don't recall any of my other aussies having so much stamina at 10 weeks old!!

Happy 15th birthday to our wonderful Sunny (Twin Oaks Billy the KId x Westwinds Josie Wales) I can not believe we have had the pleasure of Sunnys presence for 15 yrs plus. Not my first aussie, but the dog that opened up a whole new world to me. Challenged me, tested me, but always came through for me. What an awesome cross this was, and I am so very blessed to have been able to have one in my life.

I have never "litter box" trained puppies before. But every day, their night pen is cleaner than before. This was this morning. I have not cleaned at all! They were put in about 7pm last night and let out about 6:15 am this morning. Have to say, I am impressed! 3 pups, 9 weeks old today.
