Scott has been a sport fishing guide and a commercial fisherman for years on BC's coast. It was a natural that Katie would join him on the boat when they got together. They opened up a weekend fish market in Duncan - and thus was born Mad Dog Crabs. The market turned out to be resoundingly successful ... which of course led to musings about establishing a seafood shop in town. Which is the short v

ersion of how Katie and Scott today can be found in the most popular seafood store on Vancouver Island. The seafood is always fresh, and the crew is always friendly.

Long weekend coming up!!! We have lots of Dungeness crab and we lucked out and got some fresh West coast Vancouver Island troll caught spring salmon. They are amazing. Perfect for that end of summer BBQ.

We just received, directly from our exclusive day Fisherman, beautiful fresh troll caught spring salmon (Chinook). These amazing fish were caught off the pristine waters of Tofino BC. We had them in our store less then 12 hrs after they caught them. They truly don't get any fresher than this. This Spring Salmon is perfect for that big summer BBQ.

We have everything you need for a memorable long weekend, including Dungeness crab, fresh Nass River sockeye salmon, shucked oysters, and in-shell kushi and Gui Gui oysters. Come in and enjoy a perfect BBQ experience with great weather. We are open regular hours but closed on Tuesday August 6.

Fresh pickerel, Spring Salmon in today. A fresh load of Dungeness crab is being fished today and will be delivered late tonight for sales on Thursday. Fresh Kisu and Gi Gi cocktails oysters are ready for your cool appetizers. Lots of smoked salmon available, all types plus a few new flavors. Fresh in house made sockeye sausages are ready for the BBQ.

Who wants the best quality sockeye fillets? We get our Barkley sound sockeye directly from our Fisherman who is one of a very elite few that process (remove innards and bleed the fish) and pack in ice immediately. This creates a quality that cannot be found anywhere else and the fish is delivered to our store within hours of it being caught. Amazing! Come and get it while it lasts.
