What's new from the studio.......Just in time for Easter! An instruction book for creating your own hand felted rabbits is now available. It is a step by step guide from start to finish to create these cute fluffy bunnies. We also have a full kit with all the materials you would need to complete one bunny if you do not have fleece or felting tools. Instruction book is $10.00 and full kit with instruction book is $35.00 Hoppy Easter.

It appears we have two herds at RockChapAlpacas. Alpaca in the barn and deer in the fields. Good thing I just did ivermectin shots. A mild winter has increased our deer population and though they are graceful creatures they are not a good mix for alpacas.

Really pleased with this outcome! 100% alpaca tweed 7’ shawl. Will provide warmth, and can be worn a number of ways depending on the occasion. Will compliment many colours as it has a grey tone overall. It is a medium weight, very soft and shows a nice drape.

Tri loom shawl is half finished. Loving the results of the fawn, black, grey and white fleeces that were used to make this tweed yarn. Appears like a rose grey and will compliment anything.

A work in progress…..Officially started a 7’ cut strand triloom shawl. First project of 2024. This alpaca yarn is a gorgeous tweed mixed and processed by the mill from four of our alpacas. A fawn, grey, black, and white. It has a grey tone, but is designed to go with any colour. Looking forward to the finished effect.

Need a calendar for 2024? They are available here at RockChapAlpacas. The cover shows the alpacas that starred in the movie ‘Christmas On The Alpaca Farm’. This is a limited edition print. We also have limited edition decorations left. Decorations are felted from movie girls fleece. Special blankets were hand knit representing a scene from the movie. Comment or message if interested.

What’s new from the studio……A white over the shoulder shawl. This was woven using a cut strand method on a tri-loom. Yarn is 90% alpaca and 10% wool. Will be cozy for these cooler November days. Now available. Message for details.

In keeping with the most recent trends we tried to capture a moving target. Jinger is one month old today. Her alpaca mat shows the colour of her father and the Appaloosa colours of her mom. She really is one of kind! Growing daily and full of s***k!
