I got my kit in the mail and I just need to find a dog stuffy up to a weekend of bandaging. This weekend I will be unable to answer my phone, I will be in class 10 hours to renew my pet first aid which has expired. This is so important! I would encourage anyone who owns a dog, not just pet professionals to take a course like this so you know what to do and don't panic in an emergency 🐶🐾

On Halloween I groomed the little sweetheart wearing the harness. Her name is Poppy and I can't tell you how happy it makes me to see her every time!
I just got a phone call today that her owners are adding a new family member, Poppy's full sister has finished showing with Lisa her breeder Halo's Shih Tzu and the sisters get to live together! This brings me so much joy! I am so excited to be grooming dogs by this breeder I have so much respect for. At one time I was really close to buying her business in Bridgewater. Lisa has extended support to me many times though the last 10 years and I am so grateful to her

I arrived back this morning from my mini vacation. Friday I got to take part in a fairly large grooming convention. I got to meet so many mentors. Some respected companies, sharpeners, teachers, I got to see members of Groom Team Canada and groomers from all over compete and earn titals and grow from critiques. I saw so many beautiful dogs! I peeped on many seminars trying to take in as much as I could but sat in for the full skin and coat seminar. This new knowledge will be affecting pets in my care starting immediately, what a mind blowing day!
Special congratulations to another maritime groomer who won a ribbon in her class. This groomer helped me majorly for the Jodi Murphy seminar I put together this past June by providing two demonstration dogs for the weekend. I didn't know if I could ever repay her for her kindness but this weekend I cheered her on, tried to help ease her anxiety, and take photos so she will remember how far she came...and she got to meet Blake too.. NEAT!

Special thanks to the event coordinators. This show was a massive undertaking and it was fabulous!

I am currently waiting for a delayed flight to Ottawa. Tomorrow I will be attending a Grooming Show and taking in as much as I can in one day! Then I am off to see my sister ❤️ I hope to bring home some new tools, and knowledge. Continued education is so important to me. I will be away from the shop 6 days and I am not sure at what frequency I can answer messages but I will try the best I can

I have finally caught my breath with a weekend off. June 3rd and 4th I hosted Jodi Murphy a world renowned instructor in our industry for a grooming seminar at The Peg in Masstown. Fifty groomers attended from all over Atlantic Canada to take in everything they could from Jodi. I would like to thank some of my clients for aiding in our learning ❤️ thank you all so very much! Not long ago my Mom had a surgery scheduled quickly by cancellation. I was able to be at her side through the hardest part of her recovery. This Mothers Day was one I was VERY grateful for ❤️

I am back and all caught up from my time away. All appointments can go on as scheduled. I'd like to thank all of you for your support, I appreciate it very much! Support comes in many ways and I am so happy to have had offers to help our family, also from fellow groomers offering help to catch up. All of you doing what's best for the care of your four legged friends, extra brushing and combing even an at home bath allowed me to be where I was needed. Thank you all so much!
