Casual/On-Call Animal Care Specialist at Sleepy Meadows Farm & Kennel in Lone Butte, BC.

Hourly: $17.40 to start

**About Us**

Sleepy Meadows Farm & Kennel is a dedicated dog and cat boarding facility where we prioritize the well-being and comfort of every animal in our care.

**Position Overview**

We are seeking reliable and enthusiastic individuals to join our team on a casual/on-call basis. The ideal candidates will be passionate about animal care and capable of handling the physical demands of the job.

**Key Responsibilities**

1. Animal Care: Prepare food and feed animals according to customer instructions.
2. Engagement: Walk, play with, and supervise animals to ensure their well-being and enrichment.
3. Monitoring: Observe and document animal behavior to ensure health and safety.
4. Facility Maintenance: Clean and maintain both facilities and grounds to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
5. Safety Compliance: Follow all safety and security policies to protect animals, staff, and property.
6. Customer Interaction: Provide friendly and professional service when interacting with customers.
7. Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed and required.

**Work Conditions and Physical Requirements**

- Attention to detail and adherence to procedures.
- Physically demanding tasks, including handling heavy loads.
- Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
- Fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

**Requirements**

- Confidence and comfort with handling all breeds of dogs and cats.
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation.
- Ability to provide a criminal record check.
