As promised. No sticks, no bags, no chains, no treats. Baby learning to give his feet.
Just praise and position.
Had a couple messages and comments about my "How to safely train to pick feet" video saying "No way..... This isn't safe.... You're skipping a step....I don't have a second person to hold."
Only difference between this young man and one who knows the job is a helmet on my head, not tied in case of an overreaction and slow steps with lots of praise.
Demonstrated how to approach without a holder. Disclaimer. Learning to STAND comes before learning to give feet.
Join my mission on adjusting these helmets properly!
Some of you surely remember me or my team members adjusting your helmets on show grounds.
One brain guys. One.
Stay safe!

Abscess treatment.
Hope you benefit :)
For the love of learning.
All for learning opportunities. Took this video for our team but figured it was worth a share. Especially being spring with wet ground- common situation this time of year. Excuse our dirty aisle, Ching requested chores be secondary to his needs:)
Pinecrest Farm- Home of Adda'Go Equestrian is ready to grow our team coming into the 2018 season.
We are an Eventing stable that focuses on producing educated athletes of all ages and levels both in and out of the tack.
We believe horsemanship and sportsmanship trump any ribbons on the wall. We offer both competitive and non-competitive programs. Leases and part-leases are available to suitable candidates. Lessons are required if leasing our horses.
We have four stalls available for indoor and plenty of outdoor spaces available with a handful of lesson spots ready to be filled by riders committed to continually improving themselves.
All rates and programs available can be found on our website at www.addago.ca Fire us a message to come meet the team and have a look around!
My new favourite arena exercise. Focus was preparation. 3 sets of bounces called 1,2 and 3. Riders to set their rhythm and balance and be told what set of fences they are to go to while passing K, so they needed to be ready for any of the three.
Culminated our work last week on changes and landing on the correct lead.
Exercise can be made beginner friendly with single fences and a placing pole or advanced by changing the distances to 9-12 feet adding adjustability.
Super fun.
Well ridden Haylea Holmes.
