Items range from the large 7 ring hopper grainery and 10000 watt back up generator to small chick feeders, adult range feeders and waterers to everything in between. 4 flight pens and netting. Having retired from my real job in 2002 it is now time to spend more time traveling and looking after us rather than spend countless hours raising gamebirds. We will sell chukars this fall starting august 15th and pheasants starting september 15 until sold out. In 2023 or when pens are empty I will offer up all equipment and pens first come first served basis. After any pending sales the remaining articles will go up for auction. Off the top of my head this is a synopsis of some of the equipment available. 24 kuhl cm 300 chick waterers, 24 kuhl plastic chick feeders, 24 plastic poult to adult small feeders, 12 kuhl 5 day feeders, 12 kuhl low pressure bell waterers. 12 Kuhl and Brouwer electric 4 lamp brooders , variety of single bulb brooders. 175 and 250 infrared brooder lamps, metal sided 50 x 100 pen with netting, 3 150 x 100 metal sided pens with netting. Every color of spectacle with pins to prevent pheasants from fighting. 30 or 40 4 foot square plastic interlocking heavy duty pig flooring to suspend birds above the shavings. Assorted spare electronic thermostats and thermometers, 10,000 watt back up generator, graineries, augers and much much more

Day old pheasant chicks will be available every weekend for the next 3 weeks starting tomorrow. By appointment only avian flu biosecurity in effect for all visitors. You will need draft free box with bedding to transport

Incubators are full! Selling breeding stock to individuals looking to establish pheasants on their property or for dog training. Just over 30 hens with 5 or 6 roosters. Sale groups will be comprised of 5 hens with 1 rooster for $125.

The cycle starts again. With ban on egg and bird imports from usa in 27 states now and growing weekly it is getting hard to find large suppliers of quality gamebirds..fortunately upland birds in Ontario had a 1 time hatch big enough to supply 600 chukars today. 5 brooders full should keep me busy for a couple weeks

Clearing out surplus prime rooster pheasants and a few hens until end of February. I have isolated the breeding roosters with my breeding hens to a separate small pen to make egg collection easier. Probably 100 prime roosters remain surplus to my 2022 breeding program for dog trainers or farmers wishing to stock birds on their land. First come first served, They will begin fighting in mid March so I cant hold them for delayed pickup. $25 Rooster with $2 off for more than 20 birds picked up. Hens $22. Client must supply own crates

We are looking after the ACA release site birds and have filled the Alberta Field Trial and Stampede city freezers with prime fresh frozen roosters for training and trials and will still have a steady supply for other clubs with freezer space on a first come first served basis. these are prime roosters found dead in pens due stress of transportation or hypothermia that are free. I have over 100 available and hate to feed the coyotes when dog trainers could utilize them. We check pens twice a day so while we may miss a few I doubt anything is over 24 hours old when found so these are quite fresh and not spoiled. If you or your club can use some and come to Langdon they are available for a limited time. I have also invited falconers who may utilize these birds as feed.

Chukar and Pure chinese ringneck pheasand eggs expected before the end of the month from Pennsylvania. 23 days later we should have a lot of day old chicks hanging out in the brooders

Well in 30 odd years on Ranch we have never had a pipe freeze until this year. Went to get pail of water to carry out to llamas with dogs and no hot or cold water anywhere in barn building. Big 8 inch plastic pipe coming up a few inches inside edge of floor from down deep with a 1.5 inch line which I assumed came from the pump feed line in basement of house that I suspected had a frozen blockage from our -36 or so that last few days and nights. Quick trip to CTC for a heat gun which was on sale for $35 down from $89. 1 minute on 2 and 3 minutes on 1 pointed down the big plastic pipe and the tap started running again. Turned the heat up a few degrees in barn as the big pipe is actually supposed to have warmer air in building circulating around feed pipe to prevent this. All good now and no excavating required.

We are just starting to plan our 2021 hatch for chukars and a few pheasants. We can do custom hatching for anyone interested and will add your pheasant or chukar egg order to our order. Hatch rates vary but as a general rule we use 75% live chicks for every 100 eggs incubated. Orders must be received by end of february with a deposit of $2. per day old chick required. With additional $3. due upon pick up of day old chicks in mid May.
