Brought the cows home from swath grazing yesterday to beat the weather. Thanks to the crew Audrey, Richard, Stephanie & Seth. I think they come in record time. Now we just wait for calving to start January 17, 2025. We are getting calves from new sires this year which always adds some excitement.

Wow it's 4-H time it brings back memories! This is a very exciting time for all members ~ when they get to pick out their project calves. We have several heifers that would make great 4-H projects then continue on as momma cows that you can build a herd around. These heifers are all halter broke, blower broke & have been clipped. If you want to do all that yourself we have some heifers that fit that bill to. You are more then welcome to come have a look anytime.

Went out yesterday & took pictures of our heifer calves. They might not be as shiny as the others but they have the potential become some very good mama cows. We will have a group for sale this fall once they are weaned.

When you need to wash outside & use cold water I thought it best to get it done while it's still hot out. First wash for these 2 only 3 first timers left. They behaved very good.
