Since working in the pet industry and adopting our first dog (Haven,a pitbull), a few things have become evident to me. One that animals all over the world are destroyed due to a massive overpopulation problem and second that many people still justify buying a pet instead of adopting a homeless one. There is a standard for ethical breeders that promises that if you get a pet from them you will hav
e a contract and that overall you will know what you are getting into for health and temperament, plus they will retake them should you not be able to keep them. I believe that a rescue is worth every bit as much as a purebred from a breeder.This is why adopting from us offers the most possible assurance that you will know what you are getting. The animals coming from our rescue have seen a vet and are deemed by the vet to be healthy enough for adoption, if anything abnormal is found you will know about it prior to adoption. We are home based, so all the animals that come through our rescue, come through our homes first. The animals live with us in our home so we know what their personalities are like and once again any behavioural issues we have had with them, you will know about before taking them home. Although we do not see ourselves as a "no kill" rescue there is no "time limit" for our animals. We do not euthanize for space this means that when we are full anyone looking to surrender will need to be waitlisted. However that being said we do euthanize when it is deemed that the animal can not have a good quality of life or we are not able to make them safe to live in society. All of our cats are FIV/FELV tested prior to rehoming, spayed/neutered, are vaccinated (including rabies), are treated for fleas, ticks, mites and worms and all are microchipped. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (including rabies), are treated for fleas, ticks, mites and worms, are microchipped and we are always willing to assist the new owners with their training for the remainder of the dogs lives. All animals are adopted out on contract specific to their conditions and needs. We will always retake any of our animals, at any time in their life, refunds possible on case by case basis.

Angel is still looking for her permanent home. She is a nervous dog but gentle. She's good and clean in the home. She has adjusted well to our male dogs. She would be happy in a quiet home as either the only dog or with well mannered companion. She gets along well with our cat as well. Does not chew or mess in the house. She likes to go on walks. Ideally she would go with someone who would be willing to do a little bit of obedience training to build confidence and a bond with her new family. She does know basic commands and manners.

They are great kittens, unfortunately they have come with some worms and ear mites so we are sorting this out currently.
They are not free kittens however, their cost is for their veterinary costs. A deposit is taken and returned towards their and neuter.

Hello world! I'm Axel!
4 year old Neutered male. Has lived with children and is good with them. He's done well with female dogs. Not terrible with my cat but unsure how he would be with cats especially ones that are running. Seems to have a little chase drive. All the dogs he's lived with were med/large dogs.
He's had a rough time in last year but he is a great boy despite it all. Initially came with some parasites and malnourishment. His tail had to be cropped due to infection to an injury on the end of his tail that would not heal. Finally he was was in a severe dog fight not long ago against 2 other male dogs. He has some significant scars and I am still monitoring some of the more severe pinctures. He is not immediately ready to leave for a new home.. However, he is ready to start meeting his new potential pack members. He's an energetic boy, knows basic commands, decent recall, affectionate and good in a kennel.

TATER came to us from Deer Lake, in northern Ontario. His brother’s and sister have been adopted and he’s getting lonely. He’s wondering when it’s his turn to find a home. He’s a lovely young pup who wants to snuggle, go for walks and be the best dog and friend he can be.
TATER is neutered and up-to-date with vaccines. He has also been treated for parasites and microchipped. He will require a booster shot in approximately four weeks.

Koda
Enjoying his chew in foster home. Koda knows most of his basic obedience he just needs a little help remembering them sometimes when things get too exciting for him. Crate trained, has been clean in the house with me. He's currently working on being nice with cats.... this is not going the best. They are just sooo interesting to him. He might be better suited to live in a home without kitties. Would need a successful introduction to another dog.

His foster parents are awesome and have been working on manner with him! He has improved greatly on jumping up, leash walking, and although he does not like to share bones with the other dog in the home. He was taught to chew bones in his kennel to keep everyone safe.
He is good with the kids in the home and although he chases the kitties he could learn to coexist with them in his new home.
Digger has some food sensitivities to sugars and carbs that cause him to be itchy. His foster parents have also noticed that he's very fancy and doesn't like to drink city water! 🤣 for more info please contact us.
Looking for baby dolls, that move, make sounds and that are pretty realistic, as well as some baby strollers. I don't need to keep them. I have received a dog who has previously had issues with small children for training. We are working in collaboration with Gibson's Legacy from PEI.
Mr Ledger has had a wonderful foster family who would like to give him a forever home. They are extremely committed. Our goal is to begin desensitized Ledger to children safely. We would like to make him a canine good citizen.
If anyone would be willing to lend me some baby/ young child dolls/strollers so that I can begin assessing and working on this with Ledger I would greatly appreciate it!

Looking for someone with accounting knowledge.
Years ago I registered as a non profit organization but the accounting/taxes/business side of it was a nightmare for me. My passion has always been in working the dogs.
So as it stands I am a registered business for grooming, training, dog walking etc. All my rescue work is done independently and out of pocket. It was mentioned to me once more to look into registering as a charity. I am considering it and have some idea of who would be on our board of directors but I have a few questions about what that would mean in terms of how much work it would be on top of what I already have to register as a charity. If there is anyone with this kind of experience that would be willing to help me please let me know!

We left groot to manage the office for the day... and as a result we've fallen a little behind on emails, fb messages, phone messages! I will be reaching out to everyone one by one but here's the scoop!
Banjo - Is spending his first few weeks with his new family.
Armani - Is adjusting to his neuter and new home, his patient new pawrents and new doggy sister Porsha!
Sasha - was groggy but good after spay and in her new home with her new family.
Stash - is excited to meet her potential new family tomorrow.
Justice - also waiting to meet his potential new family.
Mace - After evaluating at the vet we had a grim diagnosis of some neurological problems, cystic infections on his feet, and liver damage or even failure. We decided to try, give him a fighting chance. He's improving! He has gained a few pounds, he's got more energy, and his coordination is better. He seems stronger every couple of days. He's not yet out of the woods and not yet available. He may remain here depending on how thing play out. However, if he gets to good but still lacks a little balance or coordination we might opt to rehome somewhere with no pets, pets that are small or gentle and calm as our home is quite busy and full of rough housers. If you want to know more or be kept in the loop please let me know.

They have confirmed Angel's diabetes and will begin her insulin shots today. Her care will require a life long commitment with monitoring and regulating shots.
