Certified by the Toronto School of Dog Grooming in 1991, Michelle has been grooming for 30+ years, starting her grooming career in Ottawa where she ran a business, professionally grooming all breeds from toys to giants! 🏆🏆🏆
She also shows German Shepherd’s and Standard Poodles!
A mother of four beautiful children, two boys and two girls, who also enjoys camping, skiing and working out.

My name is Marita, owner of the Bark & Barber Grooming Shoppes, where your Fur Baby will be spoiled and pampered… not to mention get a great haircut too!

In my vast experience with dogs, as a decades-long CKC Accredited Breeder, and Groomer, I have adopted the “One Dog at One Time” Policy, where you can be assured that your dog’s appointment is strictly for your dog ONLY … many grooming shops prefer to have all their daily appts in at once because it’s convenient and saves time for them, but can cause great anxiety and distress for your pooch, as they will most likely be placed in a “bank”, or a cage, or will roam around with all the other dogs whom they have never met before, which can have lasting, traumatic effects on your dog.

Not to mention the potential for any accidents and injuries!

At the Bark & Barber, we pride ourselves offering your dog 100% One-on-One attention for their entire visit while they are here, from drop-off to pickup, resulting in many happy returns!
From your arms, straight to our grooming table for some TLC and excellent VIP treatment ⭐️, 100% cage-free.

We also work with all our local vets in Streetsville and Kleinburg!
