Tunare: #ADOPTABLE from Bosley's University Village, Nanaimo Female, domestic medium hair, black Tunare is a tiny little sweetheart who is just over 1 year old. She’s fun and very interactive, quirky and affectionate. She has silky medium length fur and bright green eyes that sparkle with intelligence. She looks all black, but turns a luxurious dark chocolate brown in the sunlight. Tunare was rescued as a young mother, and after taking great care of her kittens. She’s quite curious and enjoys investigating new things in the house, and following you around to see what you’re up to. She likes interactive toys and is very good at solving treat puzzles. Her favorite toy is the laser pointer which she’s happy to chase endlessly. She also adores her cat tree and loves napping up high and looking out the window. Tunare has recently received her lap cat certificate, and is looking forward to getting more practice in her forever person’s lap. She can spend hours curled up with you and makes a wonderful desk/couch companion. You can pick her up, but she doesn’t like being held yet. She can get overstimulated with pets at times, and will roll over and grab your hand with her paws. She’s very gentle when she does this, never using claws. She has been friendly and respectful with the other cats in her foster home, and has become used to the calm medium sized dog as well, even sleeping on the same loveseat as the dog sometimes. Roxy: #ADOPTABLE from Bosley's University Village, Nanaimo Female, domestic short hair, Siamese cross Roxy likes having her own special spaces as well as places to visit with her humans. She also enjoyed sitting next to her foster family for pets. She will likely be shy at first. Once she gets comfortable, she will come to you for pets or hang out next to you for some quality relaxing time. She may choose to hide first when people enter a room, but she will assess the situation and will come out when comfortable. Roxy has been a very quiet kitty so far, only making little adorable noises on occasion. She enjoys treats and is interested in string-type toys. She also occasionally enjoys hunting bugs in her space. She sometimes likes wet food, but her interest in it seems to come and go. She isn’t a huge fan of being picked up yet, but she will tolerate it for brief periods of time. Roxy is still a bit wary when a person first enters her space, but her purr motor will soon rev up once she recognizes a friendly face. Put your hand out for a sniff, and she will rub against it when ready for pets. She sometimes will flinch when you first try to pet her, or if you try to pet her with two hands. Fiona: #ADOPTABLE from Bosley's University Village, Nanaimo Female, domestic short hair, calico Fiona or “Princess Fi-Fi” has HUGE personality wrapped in a tiny package. Fiona had a rough start in life. She came to CatNap sick, skinny and covered with sores. She’d never had a positive interaction with humans before. As such, she had perfected the cat “RBF” (Resting B!%@# Face). she is still learning about life indoors. She can become nervous when encountering strange noises or things she hasn’t seen before. Fiona will need to start the journey in her forever home in a smaller safe room. This is where she will decompress and get used to the sounds, smells and people in her new home. #Compatibility Cats: Yes, Fiona is indifferent but tolerant with other cats. She is currently in a foster room with 2 male cats and 1 other female cat with zero issues, but she much prefers the company of people. Fiona would be perfectly happy as a solo cat. Fiona is not always aware of other cat’s “personal space bubbles.” Her in your face intense personality can be a little much for some cats. Dogs: Yes, done well with the cat savvy dog in foster home and proper with proper introductions Kids: Fiona would thrive best in a home with adults and cat-savvy older children. Orbit: #ADOPTABLE from Bosley's University Village, Nanaimo Male, domestic short hair, black and white If you are home most of the time and looking for an easy going feline companion to hang out with, Orbit may be your match! This gentle, quiet tuxedo boy that is looking for a human best friend. A bit of an introvert, he enjoys a blend of quiet time and cuddling. He is affectionate and likes attention but is also happy to sit quietly. He has a beautiful soft coat and loves gentle pets - especially along his back and the sides of his face. Orbit takes his time to get to know people and will study you carefully with those big expressive eyes. Just sitting and talking quietly with him is a good start. Some little pets under the chin and his back will get him purring and doing his “downward dog” pose. Soon he will come over and rub against you for some love and talk to you with his sweet little chirp. Leisure time for Orbit is quiet, often just sitting in a cubby, on a window ledge or playing gently with a ball or other toys. He has a calm nature, so doesn’t need a lot of space. But he does need a quiet, calm environment as he is very sensitive to noise and activity. Tommy John: #ADOPTABLE from Bosley's University Village, Nanaimo Male, domestic short hair, grey tabby Tommy John is a shy but very cuddly kitten once he feels comfortable in his surroundings. He does best around older children and a calm environment. His favorite toy is his cardboard scratch post covered in catnip followed by a game of chase with his feather wand. Once he feels comfortable in his surroundings he will eagerly let you know that he wants to cuddle by sneaking up behind you on the back of the couch to head boop and kiss your ears.
