All our kittens are held for observation until 10 weeks. This gives us pressure-free time to evaluate kitten’s type, s*x, health, temperament, to register Kittens with proper coat colour/pattern. Firstly we contact families from our Priority Wait list. We maintain the right to decide whether a kitten stays with us or goes to a new home. So, the first 2 photos were my inspiration! I ordered muslin baby wraps, but they arrived when the kittens were almost 6 weeks old. I used MayoMC’s Butterfly 🦋 as my model. She was not happy! So, I was not happy. If I was going to do this again, I would do it when the kittens were much younger! 😹

Edit: we’re not out of the red yet, but Biscuit is doing a lot better this morning! Thank you for all the well wishes 💙. (FYI: this kitten is doing better at the time of writing this post) This morning, I noticed Biscuit seemed to have much less energy than the rest of the crew. I weighed everyone and although Biscuit did have some gains over the past few days, it was nowhere close to what it should have been. I phoned our vet and was waiting for a call back. Over the next few hours, I noticed Biscuit becoming more lethargic. I immediately took him into the vet with his sister Butterfly for company. They did blood work and tested his urine. It turns out Biscuit was dehydrated with a UTI that was starting to go systemic. We gave him subcut fluids and started him on antibiotics. I’m also topping him up with bottle feeds which he is tolerating well. He’s already got more energy! Wish us luck 😻
