We are currently fostering cats for ABC Adoption Rescue but are also available to foster small pets/reptiles, and dogs.
We are a family with pet-savy children, cats, a senior dog, and guinea pigs.

EVERY year kitten season gets WORSE.. And EVERY year every rescue and shelter OVER FLOWS.
It's sad when people won't do the work themselves but always want someone ELSE to do it. Well us rescue ARE that someone else....... π
We've been prepping with supplies and are now trying to add more fosters to help with the workload. Even if seasonal as we do have some that are currently seasonal already.
As a rescue, we believe we should supply EVERYTHING to the foster family to be successful. Our supply donations are dispersed to the fosters continuously upon need. You must be willing to pick up at designated locations.

Happy 13th birthday to staff member Ziva. Ziva was adopted as a puppy from the Ottawa Humane Society and is a retired therapy dog from St. John Ambulance Therapy Dogs - Durham Region. Retired from comforting human seniors and children, she now has an important role teaching the fosters that dogs can be friends to cats. She has had a positive impact changing the minds of cats who have had previous negative experiences with dogs, and others who have never met one. Keep up the good work Ziva!
We wanted to give a big THANK YOU to Kate for the ongoing updates on Tina (formerly Katy Perry). We LOVE getting updates from our adopters and it brings us great happiness to see our fosters thriving. Tina is living her best life and has made quick pals with her new brother. She has declared herself the ruler of the house and everyone appears happy to abide.
Indie was adopted in December 2023 and we've been receiving regular updates letting us know that this Kitty is happy and loved - thank you Emily!

Zoro (male, will be 3 in May) likes to play with toys, will lay in your lap for hours, is loyal to his sibling, and is very soft and fluffy for a short-haired cat. He also has the most amusing and entertaining snoring noises.
Kiara (female, just turned 3) will follow you around and is playful with other cats. She is chatty, sweet, curious, and very food-motivated. She will stand guard while you use the loo, and would make an excellent addition to your home office.
They are wonderful kitties and would be great for a family. They are excellent with children and get along well with dogs as well.
Backstory - They traveled to Canada with a very loving family from Kuwait. They were spoiled, loved, and treated like family members. Unfortunately, the family's circumstances changed, and they exhausted all options before deciding to surrender in the hopes of finding a stable, loving home for their babies.

Now that Zoro is feeling more comfortable in our foster home he's showing his playful side. He is no longer bothered by the dog and is getting along with all of the other kitties. His sister Kiara sat patiently for a silly photo with a hat and likes to follow you around. They are both lovely kitties and they would love a family to call their own.

Kiara (female, pictured in video), and Zoro (male, trying to get comfortable on the kids' packpacks) are a loving duo who have been together since they were kittens and are almost 3 years old. They are the perfect age for someone looking for low/medium energy young kitties without the whirlwind that comes along with a young kitten.
Through no fault of their own, they were surrendered from a very loving family due to a change in circumstances. They were spoiled and treated like members of the family and are used to lots of affection. Kiara will follow you around and just loves being near her humans. Zorro also loves pets but is a little more serious and prefers to be the leader of the pack - he would prefer if you had no other cats or dogs at home, but would adjust with time.

This beautiful girl is still looking for a loving home. Her tortie coat is so soft and so unique with patches if ginger and salt and pepper, she really is quite stunning, and has a loving personality too!
As we get to know her more we'd say Shika would make a wonderful addition to a quieter home. She is excellent with kids and she is very happy for the company and affection of her human foster family but is nervous of other feline and canine companions. She would do well as a single cat or paired with another kitty who is equally chill and who will give her her space.
Litter trained, UTD on vetting, spayed, affectionate, quiet, good with kids. Just turned 1 year old.
