Introducing our latest hire: Callie the Clinic Cat!

Callie looks forward to meeting you and your pets on your next visit to Paisley Veterinary Services.
March is Tick Awareness Month and our Canadian Veterinary Medical Association has been busy looking into tick research.
A new Canadian study showed that when a Blacklegged tick is
infected with the bacteria that causes Lyme disease it may be
more likely to survive Canadian winters! Yikes!
This means that with the nice weather this week, more ticks in our area are already active and looking for a blood meal.
For the entire month of March, we are offering our Parasite Prevention Promotion, which bundles 12 months of tick and other parasite protection into one easy purchase. Please contact the clinic if you have questions or would like to order the promotion.

One of the rites of passage for future veterinarians, working as a kennel student allows you the chance to see the goings-on in a vet clinic!
Our students work 2- hour shifts 2-3 weekdays evenings and every other weekend. Perfect for afterschool and flexible around sports or other commitments.
Duties include walking dogs, feeding patients, cleaning kennels, cleaning floors, filing paperwork and we are happy to teach more skills to keen individuals. There is often opportunity to help the veterinary team with surgeries or hospitalized patients.
Working as a kennel student is often one of the first steps towards becoming a veterinarian or veterinary technician. Or you can just enjoy working with animals and have a strong work ethic.
Position available for late August.
Please send inquiries and resumes to [email protected] or drop off at the front desk.
8 weeks have flown by and we have to say goodbye to the future Dr Mel B.
We hope that you learned a little bit about life in a rural mixed animal vet clinic. And we know that you impacted many lives (4 legged and 2 legged) with your enthusiasm and cheer.
Best of luck in your final year of vet school!!!
Enjoy the summer and be safe!
Spring seems to be sprung and we wish everyone a safe and happy holiday weekend.
Also, just a reminder that chocolate and Easter lilies are toxic to our furry friends. Make sure to keep chocolate goodies well out of pet's reach. And if you own cats, just don't even have a lily in the house.
