I collaborate with homeowners to reclaim lawn space and truly make it 'green'. Daisy & Dill was born out of a love of growing flowers and food.

Seeing the high production and micro-habitat in my own front yard, I realized that we could be better utilizing all of the front yard spaces that sit with a monocrop requiring high maintenance and little return. Daisy & Dill seeks to turn "Grass to Gardens" by using a unique approach. We will work directly with homeowners to convert their sunny yard space and grow many varieties of vegetables and

flowers all lending themselves to create beauty and highly nutritious foods. There are many benefits to increasing the diversity of plants grown in a small area. Not only does it increase the biodiversity in the soil, but it adds support for many species of pollinators, beneficial insects and birds. The environmental benefits are also important, as adding organic matter to our soil increases water absorbency and retention. This can help reduce flooding and municipal water use. Changing grass to garden reduces the chemical load on our soil, insects and water systems as well, provided the garden is managed in an organic way. There is still so much to learn and much to talk about, but I hope you are inspired to discover more about gardening and how to support our local environment and food production with Daisy & Dill.

Well friends, it has been a slice this year! 😁

My season has ended and it is time to close up shop, put the gardens to bed and take a cue from nature. The season of rest is coming and I will be embracing that! 😆

A HUGE THANK-YOU to each and every one of you who purchased a bouquet or buckets through the season, who supported me in one way or another. It was another year of big learning but boy did I enjoy flowers more than veggies!

You can expect to see my flower cart again next year and a select few markets!

I hope you will all be able to come down to the Sharpe Avenue Fall Festival on Saturday!

I will have the pumpkin patch loaded with all the beautiful and interesting pumpkins! All locally grown! I'll have good carvers, fancy fall display ones, minis, whites and some beautiful showstoppers!

I'll also have some squash that are perfect for roasting for all the cozy fall eats!

I also have a beautiful vintage car coming in that you're gonna wanna see!

It's gonna be a beautiful day so make sure you swing by between 11-3 pm!

Limited number of Garlic Braids will be available at the tomorrow! Hurry in to get the best selection!

Each 'braid' has 6 heads of garlic grown at and several stems of flowers that will dry beautifully.

You can keep these in your home as decor or in your kitchen as a beautiful and useful bouquet!

The garlic is cured and ready for use but can be stored for several months providing you keep it cool and dry. 😎🧄

Today is our 4th annual Garlic City Market! Come down to Common Ground Garden Project to enjoy this great day!

Mayor Johnson is here judging our first ever biggest veggie contest, we have a "lil cloves" area for the kids, lots of fall produce, all the garlic you can imagine and so many awesome pumpkins too!

Hi friends, a little detour from flowers.
In case you haven't 'ear'd, I just wanted to let you know the corn I planted with my dad at the farm is READY!

We will have a truck in Ponoka at VJV auction mart tomorrow. I am also looking for people who would be interested in sitting at Peavey Mart here in Red Deer a few days/wk to help us get this corn into your hands.
