Calgary Farmyard is an amusement park and petting zoo located in Calgary, Alberta. Featuring mini golf, zip lines, jumbo jumpers, giant slides, games, and pony rides, plus an awesome menu of craveable carnival food, the farm is perfect for all ages. The park is open from May to October every year, so you can enjoy three seasons of fun. That's a wrap for our 2024 season! It's hard to believe it's already been 17 years since we first opened the gates to the Farmyard.

We're extending a heartfelt thanks to all our season's passholders, guests, staff, family, friends, and local community in helping make the Farmyard a place to create fun and lasting memories together.

We can't wait to be back in Spring 2025!

We LOVE Fall, and what a sunny first day for our Fall Field Trips! Thanks to all the schools who visited today, We've appreciated your support over the years, and we are excited to see the rest of our school groups that are booked in over the next month!

Fall on the Farm is back, and so are Pumpkins, Pony Rides, and our Evening Harvest Lights!

Pumpkins are out on display for photos and for purchase starting Sept. 12.

Pony rides take place every Saturday/Sunday (weather permitting) from 11 am to 4 pm, starting Sept. 13.

Evening Harvest Lights begin Friday, Sept. 12. They are a fan favorite and our absolute favorite time on the Farm too. Great for date nights and fun family outings.

All attractions, food/beverage service, and pumpkin displays are open both day time and evenings!

Season's passes are valid for both day and evening events.

How's your sense of direction? Our corn maze is back in a big way. Use our fun new app to reveal the paths and image of our Farmyard themed maze while you are navigating through. At 11 acres in size, you are definitely sure to make more than a few wrong turns while navigating this year's maze.🙂

We're throwing some shade your direction during this hot summer weather...but in a good way 😎.

In addition to our new barn and food facility that offers a reprieve from the sun, we have added (and continuing to add) shaded gazebos around the farm activities to help you stay cooler during your visit to the Farmyard.

Just one of the ways we are growing and improving to make every trip to the Farmyard bigger and better.

Happy Long Weekend! The weather is looking a little mixed but we are excited to kick-start the first weekend of school being out!

We are now open 7 days a week (9:30 am to 4:30 pm) through until the end of August!

We often get asked if we plant a new corn maze every year, and the answer is we sure do! Our animals that you meet at the Farmyard graze the corn field over the late-Fall and Winter and leave us with a blank slate for a new design.

Today was corn planting day, and we are hopeful the hail storms stays away and don't completely destroy the maze like what happened last year 😥.

We seed the corn field east and west and then north and south to create a perfect grid to overlay our maze design. With a little help from Mother Nature, the crop will grow over the next couple months and the 10 acre maze will open in late-July.

We're back! Spring is in the air and the Farmyard critters are waking up to a much better forecast. Come meet our newly born barn babies (lambs, goats, horses, donkeys, piglet, bunnies, ducklings and chicks) while they are at their smallest and experience over 40 other great attractions. It's a whole day of fun at the Farmyard😊.

It might have been a new record for quietest opening day in our 17 year history, but the one thing we've learned over the years is that we can't control the weather! Regardless we appreciate everyone that bundled up and braved the chilly day to come for a visit. Shout out to these two lovely people, who were the first ones through the gates in great spirits for our 2024 season. Can't wait for many great days ahead😊.

Today was our Farmyard team orientation day and we're very excited for the new season with the crew. The dedication of our staff team over the years has been the driving force in growing the Farmyard into what it is today.

We've definitely had a busy Spring with our baby animals being born, organizing the farm, repairing wind and snow damage from last weeks weather, and adding a few of our fun new attractions. There's a lot going on for sure, and they've definitely stepped up to get us ready in anticipation of opening day. Can't wait until May 17!

We are less than a week away from our season opener, and every day is full of excitement 🙂 as we prepare for the big day, including the birth of this little jack donkey today.

17 days until we open for the season and we can't wait! The last group our Spring babies are just being born, plus we are working on our fun new attractions for all ages. Opening day is May 17! Can't wait to see you all soon.

THE HISTORY OF THE HALLOWEEN PUMPKIN!

Did you know that the practice of carving ghoulish faces on vegetables may have roots in Ireland, where large turnips served as early canvasses?

In fact, the name, jack-o'-lantern, comes from an Irish folktale about a man named Stingy Jack. Irish immigrants brought the tradition to America, home of the pumpkin, and it became an integral part of Halloween festivities.

So the next time you're carving a pumpkin, remember you're part of a really old and cool tradition! And if you really want to be sacred, Google 'Carved Halloween Turnips', 😅

Playtime at the Calgary Farmyard with Bullseye the very patient donkey.

Brand new arrival this afternoon! It's our second baby goat in the past day, and the video of this miniature, but strong little girl was taken when she's just minutes old! We'll be watching this one extra closely throughout the evening and night as it's the mother's first baby and she is a bit confused with the feeding process. The baby is doing her part and is great and searching for milk, but we've been assisting with the feeding to keep the mom still while the baby feeds until she gets the hang of it. The mom was a bit sore at first but she's been patient with this process so far so that's a positive sign. Hopefully the two start to feed on their own and that maternal instincts fully kick in. We've seen lots of improvement through the first few feedings.
