Daisy and Doll took a youth group out for a ride east of Calgary yesterday. They were having the experience of how their ancestors got to school.
Although they loved it, there were many teeth chattering as not everyone was prepared for the cool weather.
We are grateful to the organizers for including us in this event and look forward to collaborating again.

We practice a variety of little things regularly and I’m always amazed by how smart and willing he is.
As a 2.5 year old stallion, he is calm and respectful, handled daily and has a steady old pen-mate quarterhorse named Chip.

Comin’ in for supper - Percy and Chip (with the white blaze) enjoy each other’s company. Percy is 2.5 years old and Chip is 24.5 years old. 🩵💙 No matter… friendship is friendship.
They’re funny to watch sometimes as they both love their food and will try to shoulder the other over.
Perkins is developing nicely.

Miss Clare-mare comin’ in.
She’s expecting her foal at the beginning of May and we keep wondering if she’s packing a duo (twins are very rare, so unlikely).
She’s started to move a bit more freely now, since she’s had some better hoof care and appropriate feed, plus she’s able to get out into the pasture daily for healthy, light activity.
We spread the hay all around so she and Charlie will wander from pile to pile, which is similar to natural grazing activity. She even took off in a quick-ish trot yesterday.
