A legend. Bob Barker passed today. He was 99. Mr. Barker would have turned 100 on December 12th.

📝 Did you know? I worked with Rich Fields at 10 Tampa Bay. Rich was Bob’s last “come on down” announcer. He also entered The Price Is Right show into the Drew Carey era. Rich is also a meteorologist.

Happy International Dog day🐾💜 Ace was my soul dog, and he's been gone for 6 months now and his presence by my side is missed greatly! RIP little man❤️🌈 Shelby and I are on a new path now and good things are in the works, finally✌️❤️🙏

Hey everyone! We just wanted to make a post to let everyone know we have been extremely busy lately and have taken in more dogs and cats than ever before, dealt with more emergency calls than ever, and abuse cases. That has lead us to taking a bit longer than usual at getting back to all the messages and applications right now. We are working very hard to get back to everyone when we can, and keep everything moving forward. We get so many calls and messages each day from around the Island, province and country to help dogs and cats in need. Especially here on the island. We have never seen so many dogs and cats needing help in our 16 years of rescue work, and we are doing our best to help as many as we can, while offering support to others.

We do kindly ask for everyone’s patience and understanding during this time. We are all volunteers that have normal day jobs as well, and we work 24/7 - 365 to continue to help as many animals as we can. All we can do is continue to do our best.

It never helps when someone starts bullying us, putting us down, spreading misinformation, attacking us, or threatening us because we haven’t responded as soon as they wanted us too, or they didn’t get chosen for the dog or cat they wanted at this time. We can only choose one person for each dog or cat, and there are many that apply for each. It’s always hard to let anyone down that applies and doesn’t get the dog or cat they want the first time, and that’s very hard on us as well to have to tell people that.

We always do what’s best for the animal first and foremost. We are always trying to make everyone happy as well, but the reality is no one can make everyone happy at all times. We are always ready to keep working with someone if they’re not chosen the first time, to continue to help find them a great dog or cat for themselves, their home, and their family. Sometimes it just takes a little bit of patience and understanding, as hard as that can be at times. We do understand that aspect. The reality is we cannot do what we do without all your love and support for the animals and RainCoast, so we always value each and every one of you that reach out to apply and support.

We go through so much in rescue that most will never understand, as it can literally break you down emotionally, physically, and mentally each day with what we have to see and deal with, and then lift you right back up as well. It’s a constant emotional roller coaster. It is exhausting, but it is our true passion we will never quit. It is a very hard industry to work in, while most make very little to no money at all. We don’t expect everyone to understand, but we do expect and appreciate the patience and respect, as it’s very clear on our sites how actively busy we are helping animals during these hard times. We are only human and we have feelings too, and putting down anyone, especially those who work nonstop and dedicate their lives to helping animals or others, is never acceptable.

There is no room for bullying, threatening, racist, or hateful comments to anyone on our pages or platforms, in any form. Not to us, not to others. We will not accept that and you will be warned or removed if you cross a serious line, and if you continue after being warned, you will be permanently removed from the site if that’s how you want to treat people. We are sorry we even have to make such a post, but unfortunately something had to be said at this time.

Thank you to everyone for all your continued love, patience, support and understanding for all of us and the animals at RainCoast Dog Rescue Society. We appreciate you all! ♥️🐾
