We have some AMAZING kittens in care still looking for their FURever homes. Kittens have A LOT of energy, so we do recommend that they are adopted with a buddy or go to a home where there is already another pet who will engage in play. A bored kitten can get into a lot more mischief.

We had an absolute BLAST at our Whiskers 'Cats of Summer' day yesterday. Thanks so much to everyone who came out to meet our kittens!
Seville (orange and white) and Mandarin - both boys - LOVED all of the attention yesterday. They were ready for a nap as soon as they got back to their foster home, that's for sure! While we had lots of folks interested in ONE of the boys, we are really hoping that they can go home together. As you can see below, they are quite fond of each other.

Congratulations to cutie pie Ruby (our first Isabella Pt Rd kitten) who went home with Chantalle and Jules. Thanks to Joni, Michael and Zavy for being such awesome fosters to this litter of kittens.
And congratulations to sweet Blackburn (Bernie) who went off on the ferry to Vancouver today with Cathie and her family. Thanks to new fosters Rain and River for teaching Bernie how to love people! He's so snuggly!

Happy CAT-urday from 'The Oranges: Clementine, Mandarin, and Seville'. These 3 siblings - one girl and two boys - came into our care along with their mom cat (who is named KitKat!).
These awesome were about 9 weeks when they came to us and they did so great in their foster home. All three kittens are so snuggly and affectionate. They were spayed and neutered last week and are now ready to move on to their FURever homes.

We wanted to take the time to provide an update on Spirit - the senior boy who joined our Rescue as a Lifetime Foster.
Sweet Spirit has found the PURRfect home with Barb and Rob. Just look at how settled he is on Rob's lap. Spirit shares the home with two senior dogs. Once the dogs acknowledged his leadership position in the home, things have gone very smoothly. Spirit sleeps all night on the bed with Hank (one of the dogs).
Thank you so much, Barb and Rob, for welcoming this senior guy into your family. We are so grateful.

After all of our recent posts about kittens and kitten adoptions, we wanted to highlight an older gentleman who has recently come into our care: Norman.
We will soon be looking for a 'lifetime foster' placement for Norman, whereby you (the foster) would provide him with a safe, cozy and loving home, and we (the Rescue) would make sure that all of Norman's medical needs are looked after for the rest of his life. We can even provide all of the supplies (food, litter, etc) if needed.
Norman has lived a long and hard life fending for himself. He's ready to be pampered in his golden years. Are you looking for a sweet and gentle companion?
Congratulations to all of our AMAZING adopters and the lucky kittens that went home with them. WE HAD EIGHT (yes 8!) kitten adoptions finalized last week. Our whole 'Bright Spots in the Night Sky' litter found their FURever homes, plus 'Crackle and Pop' (from our Snap, Crackle & Pop litter). We have included a few pics from the adoptions below...still waiting for some to come in!

Sweet Ruby is one of our "Isabella Pt" kittens, rescued off the roof of a shed earlier this spring. Ruby and her siblings, Meadow and Mountain, have been having a BLAST at foster Joni's house.
Ruby will be joining us this Tuesday, July 16th @ Whiskers Pet Store for our 'Cats of Summer' meet & greet event.

Adorable Gumball (one of Juliette's Candy Kittens) is the last available kitten in the litter. If you are looking to add a new furry friend to your family, maybe you want to meet Gumball.
This litter was born in care (their mom was trapped when she was VERY pregnant) and has been cared for by Juliette (the mom cat) and our amazing foster duo Jo and Jason!
Jo describes Gumball as sweet and playful. "He's an absolute purr machine". Jason cradles him like a baby and he LOVES it.

Our amazing ginger Carrot moved into foster-to-adopt placement with Joann and Aaron yesterday on Pender. We could not be more thrilled for our Carrot.
Carrot came into our care in March of this year and was so frightened and reactive. It turned out that Carrot had two retained testicles which were removed by our awesome vets @ Mayne Island Vet Clinic. And what a difference this made!
Joann knew that Carrot was the cat for their family…..just check out that tattoo!!!
Fingers crossed that Carrot settles in well with the other resident cats at their house…..stay tuned!
Congratulations to our boy Dale on his adoption by Pat and Stan!
Dale went into foster to adopt for a month first, just to make sure it was a PURRfect fit. Needless to say, Dale now has THE MOST AMAZING home!

Happy CAT-urday from our "Bright Spots in the Night Sky" litter, who will be ready to go home in the next two weeks. Introducing Cloud (M, the fluffy grey kitten), and his black short-haired, medium haired, and long haired siblings: Moon (DMH, F), Star (DSH, F), Comet (DMH, M), Mars (DSH, M) and Venus (DLH, F).
These kittens are ABSOLUTE LOVEBUGS. They were raised in a foster mom's home, where they were looked after by their OWN mom cat and their amazing foster family. They are used to kids and LOTS of snuggling and play.
This litter of kittens will be joining us at the first day of our CATS OF SUMMER promotion at Whiskers Pet Store this coming Tuesday July 2nd. (Remember, we will be at Whiskers Pet Store every Tuesday this summer (2 - 4:30 p.m.), with some of our amazing adult cats and kittens available for adoption).

Bonfire is still waiting for his FURever home.....could it be with you? This sweetheart has been in foster with Joni and her family for a few months now. He loves playing with his best cat friend Chewie during the day, but really loves affection from humans when he's relaxing in his cozy bed. This video was shot this morning! Bonfire loves being petted and having his tummy rubbed when he is relaxed in his bed. When he is out playing with his cat friend Chewie, he's more into 'playtime' mode - so that isn't his favourite time for handling.

Happy Monday morning from gorgeous Sandy, who is SO HAPPY that spring has finally SPRUNG! Sandy lives with her amazing foster Peter up in Nanaimo. She is so loved and well cared for! What a lucky girl! Thanks Peter for being part of our foster team!

An adorable update from adopter Elizabeth on our sweet Auntie Pesto's kitten Tiramisu (or SuSu - as she is commonly called at home) who went home in late 2023: "She's doing so well! She's very attached to me. She's so cuddly and and sweet and starting to meet the other cats, who are being very patient with her" Tiramisu (now SuSu) loves watching the snow fall! Isn't this adorable? I think the best part is when she looks back into the room and up to the ceiling as if she’s wondering “how come nothing is falling in here?”

This CATurday, as part of our 'Love is in the air....adopt a BONDED PAIR' promotion, let's introduce you to Charlotte and 'Kitten Mom': Both of these gorgeous cats came into our care as part of our colony management work in 2023. Charlotte, the long haired girl, was horribly matted and underweight. Although she displayed fear-based aggression, we gave her time to learn that living in a foster home with people was a good thing. She LOVES to be brushed! 'Kitten Mom' came into our care as a kitten (estimated 5 months old) and gave birth to 4 kittens on her first night in foster. We gave her space and placed her in a quiet foster home where she would feel safe and could care for her kittens (our Insect Litter). Once Kitten Mom's kittens were weaned and then adopted, we placed her in the same foster home with Charlotte. THAT'S WHEN we realized that Charlotte is in fact Kitten Mom's MOM CAT! And these two have been inseparable since! Check out their love below.
