NEW WEBSITE & E-COMMERCE SITE

We have finally launched our new website on the Shopify platform. We are very excited to provide you with better online and in-store service. Key benefits for you include:

• Faster and simplified ordering process with less steps (like on Amazon.ca).

During the data migration process from our old system, passwords were not able to be migrated due to security protocols. We are asking that you create a new profile using the same email address so your points and order history will be retained. You will only have to do this once.

The formula of any pet food is usually a closely guarded secret. But by law they must post all ingredients on the label and in the order of highest to lowest weight. We also know that pet food contains no more than 1% of salt, and usually closer to 0.5%. Based on this knowledge we can determine that any ingredient below salt onthe lable will be less then 1% of the bag’s contents.

Fruits and vegetables are hugely beneficial for dogs as a great source of vitamins and minerals, but if they are listed below salt on the label, the amount is going to be so low, there will be no health benefit.

Kirkland, Purina Beneful, Performatrin Ultra, Royal Canin, Hills Science Diet all have products that have fruits and vegetables below salt on their labels. Some didn’t even have fruits and vegetables at all. Yet some of these brands charge an incredibly high price. Others put pictures of these fruits and vegetables on the packaging to get you to buy their products knowing full well the miniscule amounts that are in the bag.

It’s important not to humanize your pet and understand how to read a pet food label. What is in the food is important, but what’s not in the food can be just as important.
