Good afternoon!

We have decided to create a waitlist for our mystery snails, which should be ready in approximately a month. We have observed a significant number of purple snails, as well as a few blue and magenta ones. Snails will be around the size of a pea when they're ready so you can have the fun of watching them get bigger. Since we anticipate having more snails than we can personally accommodate, we believe that creating a waitlist will enable us to find suitable homes for them once they are ready to be rehomed.

If you are interested in reserving a snail, please feel free to send us a direct message with your name, preferred contact information, and the quantity and color of the snails you would like. We are currently only doing local pickup.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

We have some mini flat ramhorn snails, good for feeding assassin snails, loaches, pea puffers, turtles, etc. They are also great at starting an ecosystem as they like to eat algae, biofilm and fish p**p on the ground. They don't eat live plants, but you may find them on leaves eating biofilm and algae.

They don't look as pink as in photo #2 just the light shining off the shell.

Send us a DM for pricing or any questions you might have!

We had a question for all our followers...

We are currently breeding red, blue, and orange neocaridina shrimp and mystery snails. We were wondering if YOU had a type of shrimp or snail you feel would be a good addition to our store, or you'd like to add to your aquarium in the future but don't see it in our local shops. Our focus right now is for freshwater aquariums.

A few options we had in mind were;
Assassin snails,
Nerite snails,
Rabbit snails,
Green jade neocaridina shrimp,
Yellow neocaridina shrimp,
And snowball neocaridina shrimp.

If you have something not listed, send us a message or comment below, and we will look into it! We appreciate any feedback received!

Keep your eyes posted for future updates!
It's been months in the making, but we have our blue cherry shrimp, neocaridina, colony growing day by day. We're hoping that by the end of the year, our blues will be ready to go to some new homes.

We have lots of red cherry shrimp available if anyone's looking to add a colorful clean up crew to their aquarium 🐟

Thank you for supporting local!

We have some good news!
We've recently had a mystery snail clutch hatch and we've seen some little babies wandering the tank!
Mystery snails have been our trickiest to figure out so far. We stopped advertising them for a bit as we were getting pitting in our poor shells from lack of calcium in the water (even with adding cuttle bone and calcium rich food). Our water in Thunder Bay is pretty neutral, which isn't great for large quantities of snails for breeding. We've been doing lots of research and science experiments to figure it out. We've raised our gH and kH, and the shells are coming back better than ever. Our goal is to give you the best possible snails we can provide, with vibrant colours and shell shape being the best you've seen in town!
The photos attached are an example of some snails we bought from a local store in town. You can see the first half of the shell is duller in colour and rougher looking with all the growth lines. Once they were added to our tank, the shell looks more uniform and vibrant. New snails are added periodically to make sure our snails genetics stay nice and strong. ❤️

Our beautiful red cherry shrimp (mixed grades) are sure to add a burst of colour to any tank!

We have lots of these fun little guys available right now. Whether you only want a couple, or you're looking to start a colony, we got you. We always make sure to have females and males so you're guaranteed to have a colony grow.

We recommend putting shrimp in an already established fish tank (at least 6 months) as they eat 24/7. They feed off beneficial bacteria and biofilm that builds as the tank runs. This means the longer the tank is set up, the more food thats available for the shrimp to eat!

Providing them with live plants gives lots of cover for the shrimp to be comfortable with breeding and protecting them from other fish in the tank.

Our tank temperature is set to 74F.

Be sure to check our Kijiji link for pricing, or send us a message, and well gladly help you (:

Good evening, are you looking to add some pizzazz for your little tank friends? We have posted a new aquarium plant on our Kijiji for sale!

We have a beautiful floating plant, Amazon Frogbit, which is suitable for all levels of experience in the hobby. These plants provide shade for small tank mates, such as shrimp and fry. They help absorb ammonia and nitrates in the water to help keep parameters at a safer level for your fish.

We keep our Amazon frogbit in a C02-injected tank, but C02 is NOT required. These floating plants can grow big and slowly take over a tank when in the proper environment.

Optimal parameters:
Temperature between 72F-82F (ours is at 82F),
pH level between 6.0-7.6 (ours is at 7.4).

A medium to high full spectrum light helps support the Amazon frogbit's growth, and we recommend a minimum tank size of 20 gallons as the roots can grow long. Liquid fertilizer is a good supplement to add essential micronutrients to the water to promote growth.

We recommend checking your water parameters regularly to make sure your plants and fish are happy and in the right conditions.

As we are a business, hst will be added at checkout.
5 plants: $7 ($7.90)
10 plants: $10 ($11.30)
20 plants: $15 ($16.95)

Thanks every one for all the support, we really feel the love from our family and friends. ❤️

Here is one of the big projects we have been working on since we moved to our new house together back in June 2022. We are beyond thrilled with how it has grown. We have more work to do to the tank to get it where we want, but it's absolutely stunning to look at in the stage we got it to. We are excited to see how this tank evolves over time. As well as, seeing how we evolve over the years.

Thanks again for every one who has joined our journey. Love you all. ❤️
