At thi
s time, the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society is accepting the city's stray cats. Please visit their Facebook/Instagram pages or call their office during business hours for more information regarding their policies and procedures. If you would like to know if your cat was brought to the shelter, please contact the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society directly at 475-8803. DOG & CAT LICENCES
In Thunder Bay, all pet owners must license their dogs and cats within 14 days of ownership. Licences must be kept on your pet at all times to enable us to reunite you with your lost pet. We will provide a free ride home the first time the pet is picked up by one of our Animal Services By-Law Officers. DOG PARKS
Thunder Bay's well-behaved canines and their owners can enjoy either of the City's Off-Leash Dog Parks. Dogs must be over four months old and have a current City licence and rabies vaccination to use the park. The Animal Services By-Law Officers do not have any authority to patrol these Parks. VOLUNTEERING:
Animal Services no longer provides adoption services; therefore, the volunteer program is no longer available. Interested volunteers can contact the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society at (807) 475-8803 for information regarding their volunteer program.
