I haven’t posted anything for a long while but I couldn’t resist this one. Khloe jumped on the keyboard and somehow pulled up one of my fav photos of Ayiana. Next thing I see she is holding her had the same way she does 😍

Unfortunately, i have bad news from Toronto, I'm completely gutted. After a very short illness Ayiana passed away at midnight yesterday. In the morning she had a hard time moving around, she didn't eat or drink all day. In the evening when I noticed that she could hardly breathe I had to carry her in my arm to the emergency where they diagnosed her with spleen cancer - hemangiosarcoma. The prognosis was very bad, the survival time even after a successful operation and chemotherapy is about 6-9 months. We decided not to torture her with any kind of treatment and she peacefully fell asleep shortly after midnight.

Just when you think that after 8+ years you know your dog’s every thought, including her distaste for the water but love for only the snow, there it comes 😳She had the opportunity before but never took a dip in Lake Balaton, the Atlantic Ocean, the Mediterranean Sea, the Danube and who knows where else. Then this morning at Cherry Beach in Lake Ontario she was having a relatively good time. No swimming but letting the water touch her belly and also shaking the water off while in there 😏😲😂

Our Story

Peter started training dogs 25 years ago in Toronto, using mainly coercive methods, achieving varying degrees of success with his first two Siberians, Silver and Tasha. In 2009, he read the first books about clicker training and positive reinforcement. He then put lessons from those books into practice and has never looked back. In early 2017, he took his teaching and training skills to the next level, successfully completing the KPA Dog Trainer Professional course under the mentorship of Terry Ryan and now he is a Karen Prior Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA CTP). Peter lives in Neuilly-sur-Seine, a Paris suburb, with his wife, Zsuzsanna and with his Siberian husky, Ayiana.
