[ FOSTER NEEDED ]

Looking for a foster, this week, for this 4 month old pup

I'm told she's sweet and playful and everything puppy wonderful, but it's important she come into rescue.

Please email if you're able to offer a foster space for her to land for the next while.

Preference is for her to have another well mannered dog in the home that can help be her canine mentor.

✅ No cost to you. Everything covered financially through the rescue

✅ No driving to vet appointments or meet and greets. All driving done by the rescue

✅ Supplies they come with: food, dishes, p*e pads, p**p bags, toys, x-pen, crate, leash/collar, treats and anything else you feel you need to make fostering easier

✅ Kids okay

✅ Resident pets preferred

✅ Average 8 week commitment

✅ Will go to our vet on arrival, so will come dewormed, flea and tick prevention and with 1st round of vaccines

✅ Preference to those within 1 hour to the GTA for easy pickup access for vetting appointments.

✅ Work from home or home most often as she's just a baby still

[ PLEASE ... CANADA IS IN A MAJOR CRISIS WITH OUR DOG OVERPOPULATION PROBLEM. I'M BEGGING YOU. PLEASE JUST STOP.

🔴 STOP purchasing dogs off sell sites. There is no support in place to help you when the dog turns out to be a very different dog than what was described.

🔴 STOP "rescuing" dogs from "bad situations" that you can't keep yourself. Rescues & shelters are full. If you rescue a dog, you are responsible for that dog. Don't think a rescue or shelter is going to bail you out of the "rescue" you decided to take on.

🔴 STOP adopting dogs from rescues that have no ability to take that dog back if it doesn't work out. Returning dogs to rescues is becoming more and more of a common practice and most rescues have no space to take that dog back ... especially if it's a dog with behaviour issues.

🔴 STOP buying dogs from backyard breeders. Actually, just stop buying dogs. We need to bring breeding to a very slow trickle in Canada right now. We have ZERO capacity for the dogs already alive in our Country fighting for their very existence.

🔴 STOP importing dogs right now. Not forever, just for now. We can't help other countries with their dog overpopulation problem if we can't even help our own dog overpopulation problem.

The moment I've been speaking about for 3 years has officially arrived and is widespread right across Canada at the moment.
